Whoa. So, how exactly does this work? Because it sounds awesome, but I can imagine that it will have to be regulated fairly strictly. Also, does it mean that I make myself into a Hero (i.e. a hero named Jordan Alstad) or that I design a new Biblical Hero? Either way, I really hope I can make it to Nats.

To answer just a few questions before players panic:

1) There are 6 "templates" to choose from. All are N.T. human heroes.

2) You pick the template for your hero. The red template is a warrior class hero with a "Christian Soldier" reference. The gold template is a Luke hero. The green template is a prophet. The blue and purple templates are deacons. The white template is a musician. There are no teal or silver hero options.

3) You pick the strength you want (4, 5, or 6)
4) You pick the toughness you want (4, 5, or 6)
5) You select one of 4 special ability options for each template.
One of the special ability options (a choice for every template) is "This hero has access to all sites."
A second option is "May band to ___ or ___." The blanks are filled based on the template you chose. For red, gold, and blue, the first blank is Soldier of God. For green, purple, and white, the first blank is Faithful Servant. The other blank is red-Christian Soldier, gold-Good Samaritan, green-Paladin (green), blue- Seeker of the Lost, purple- Saint of Virtue, and white-Saint of Virtue (purple and white go rather well together, and this is a good option for kids with a deck H).
The other two special ability options are more specifically designed to be helpful in the brigade.
6) The title of the card is your first and last name
7) the art on the card is a picture of you.
8 ) you are the only player allowed to use your card in a deck.
9) you will only be allowed ONE such custom card per deck, regardless of type of play
10) promised to be tournament legal for the 2010-2011 season only. Beyond that, tournament legality will be decided on a year-by-year basis by Rob.

Ok Bryon, I now have a TON of questions. Whta categories are they allowed in, where are these templates, and I am assuming by your last category that I can have 5 of them in type 2? so I am assuming type 2 is a legitimate category for use....

Can I have multiple cards in different brigades but only use one type in each deck ..( ie a green one in a prophets deck and a gold one in an abom deck?)

Can we be evil characters? after all...we were all once separated from the love of god.....

If I know someone who's going can they pick-up my card for me? I'm not exactly thrilled that its so inclusive, even national promo's are fairly easy to obtain if you want them.

I know. Based on the FAQ page on the website, this card becomes an official card to use in any deck. I can see sooooo many wonderful possibilities. I might drop a small fortune on these cards!

Well, Rrulez made the name badge below that I used at Nats 09. Looks like I'll have to make some updates to it. Not sure on the numbers or SA since I haven't seen the templates yet, but I will be a green prophet. I like the current scripture, Mark 1:17, but will probably go with the other picture below.

Bryon told us Saturday that participants cannot choose to be an evil character. Sigh.

Also, I'm assuming each player will only get one, and since you can only have a card with your name on it in your deck, there's no way to have 5 in T2 or two cards in different decks.

i second this...not because i hate how i look, but i play other ccg's that have allowed players to become cards, and they're not all that aesthetically great...plus, custom artwork would be kick-butt *cough cough eternal studios cough cough*.

Unfortunately no, you also can't play Throne of David down if either is in play

then again I probably won't drop the money on it, bette off with my wife making a card for her deck.
