Hey,
Quote
you are the only player allowed to use your card in a deck.

This makes me sad.  Playing with a Tim Maly card seems weird.  But trading my Tim Maly card for a John Earley card, or a Justin Alstad card, or a Bill Voigt card and playing with that would be awesome.

You will be able to trade in the 2011-2012 season.

The title of the card is your first and last name
So...we can't use our board names? I think that would be really cool, and it would also be a fun way to figure out who real-life people are on the boards.

i totally agree. maybe they'll allow us to do something like...

'John Nesfeder (Master KChief)'

or vice versa.
Or maybe they can put your board name in the spot that they usually put the artist name (since the artwork will be made by you...somewhat :P)

I agree.  I really like that idea a lot.

As for the 7/7 option, we agreed that would be too strong with the banding option.  Maybe if you choose NOT to get the banding option, you could get a 7/7?

+1 with that..I would sacrifice banding to get my favorite number and the special meaning it holds to me.  I was planning on not getting the banding option anyway.  So I REALLY like that idea the more I think about it.

Also, I like board names being the "middle name" in the style of...
 Tim "Sir Nobody" Maly   and
 Eric "puts something here" Largent

Then I'd change my board name to...

Prophet, Judge, Musician, Zerubbabel's Temple High Priest, Angel, Royalty

Despite me being none of those ;)

I really like the idea (I remember posting a similar suggestion a ways back).

My personal preference would be that blue and purple have different themes since the other brigades get their own.  I think royalty would be great for purple.  Not only would it be nice to a have a N.T. royal purple hero but I think it has strong scriptural backing.  The N.T. repeatedly talks about believers being adopted (or born again) into the family of God.  God is of course our Father (who art in heaven).  Of course Christ is the King of Kings but as His children we are princes or princesses.  The N.T. also talks about how we will reign with Christ (judging angels I think?) and God seated us (thrones) in the heavenly places.  I know there are probably more I'm missing.

So I like deacons for blue but I think this would be a great option for purple to represent our position with God.

Orr...you could just bring a collection of pictures to Nats, some in costume and some not so if they ban one of  your pictures, you would have backups!

Those are great points, but the decision was made to stick with Deacon for this year.  Besides, it might be nice to have a 4/4 deacon who can use deck H purple convert, which CBN if used by a deacon.  :)

I think it is separate, but you will have to ask John.  I have nothing to do with $ for nationals or Cactus.  :)

Oh boy, if it's the same cost then I am excited! What kind of card I get depends on the next set, though. (If there are no deacons in the next set, I'll probably go with one of those, depending on what the ability options are.)
