This might be a bit premature, but if Nats is going to be off in a far away place from me (I live in PA), I need to start saving for a plane ticket/gas money now. Any idea when it'll be announced?

Edited title, please don't mock me. :(

Darn Schaef, that's spam, self-ban now plz. :(

I predict that Nats 08 will be in Columbus OH, the weekend of August 6.

lol @ Schaef.  That's not exactly a prediction.  :D

The location of Nationals is typically announced after the first of the year if memory servers me correctly.

Don't plan on it being in the east or the midwest...so plan to start saving about $500+ as a budget, that way if you are pleasantly surprised you then have money for the new set release  ;D

California should get Natz '09. Their regional was similar in size to the rest of the regions last year and there hasn't ever been a national tournament on the west coast.

Yep, It's going to be in GA! We've waited so long and patiently, we can meet all of the requirements and then some. Can you say Natz in da ATL 09?

For YOU it may cost more but there are many players in your same situation on the West Coast. They haven't ever been to nationals because it is too expensive to go somewhere a long ways away to get there. Nationals has been a lot closer to TN than it has CA.

MN or Iowa for Nats '09

Alas, there is no Redemption scene in Elkhart. CA is due, but I'm not sure their number of players are high enough to merit. How many players do you have in Cali?

California had the highest turnout for a Regionals tourney last year: 35 players at the Southwest Regionals (hosted in the Los Angeles area).  With the West Coast planning to represent if Bryon gets the approval, I think we could pull off 60 players just from this side of the Rockies.
