I like both of them, but how many animals are there really in redemption? Maybe 6 at most?

There are 2, and neither of them is widely used, which is good because otherwise the card would be OP. :P

This would be a nice Oak counter. The second part isn't that great, but it could be handy to get captured heroes back, or make SWS a little less annoying.

That was the primary point. :P

Everything after the restrict was just to give it a little situational use, like to undo a Stalks of Flax or Laban exchange or get your SWS back, in case you draw it after your opponent has done a lot of exchanging.

Perhaps just return all cards to owners' territories? That way TAS would flip and become a LS for the opponent, in addition to doing all the other stuff you'd want it to do. Perhaps include a (except placed Enhancements) so stuff like IoJ doesn't get messy.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I like that idea, actually. *updates*

I enjoy the design, except for the animal. It seems a bit pointless with hardly any animals in redemption. Perhaps if they could be discarded to an alter or something it could be interesting. But their abilities would have to activate in territory otherwise an animal going in to "rescue" a soul makes no sense. Unless, of course it could band to a warrior-class character and give it a bonus. That would be neat.

I don't really know what you're referring to. "Animal Redeemed" just lets you rescue the captured animal after 3 turns (ala Son of God rescues any Lost Soul). It's a mechanism to increase your score by 1, nothing more.

You know...I've always liked the idea of Phillys, but never had a chance to play them (not had the requisite...and sometimes expensive...cards to do so :D), but it saddens me now that I realize that whatever is done to stop the meta involving Oak will just serve to weaken them more  :'(  Hezzy and Nazzy already, and they can't catch a break cause of that

Also, I think an interesting side-effect of this type of interrupt-and-return ability would be a weakening of the hopper.  Sure, you can speed through your deck faster with it in and maybe prevent soul lock, but if your opponent ran this card (since they were countering meta), your hopper might come back to visit :)

Last point on the verse: I love the reference you found for it.  While it specifically says that you shouldn't exchange good-for-bad, bad-for-good, it implies not to exchange at all.  Good find!

On the second card...I'm not very comfortable with redeeming an animal as a soul.  God did not give animals souls to be rescued like that of man, and he does not pursue them for redemption like man.

Also, the verse references redeeming as in a person who gave the animal wanting it back, in which case it could be redeemed for its value plus an additional 20% tax, essentially.  While the animal is holy, the redemption is monetary, not spiritual.

Yeah, I like the verse, too. I can think of all sorts of fun things to do (or, as the case may be, UNDO) with this card. The possibilities are endless :D

Yeah, it was kind of a joke card when I was reading Leviticus 27 for context for the first card's verse. Though, the not having a soul and not being pursued for redemption could also be said about Angels yet they can be rescued like any Hero. Also, I believe there are several ways for you to redeem an animal in the game already (can't think of any offhand, though).

Don't get me started on that about angels in that part of the game ;D  Although, really, any beliefs I have about the potential of redeeming angels in the same way as a human's soul can be backed-up and countered by scripture, and is not essential to faith anyway, so I try get too involved in that discussion.

And yes...I know you CAN...but please don't against me, I draw the line at animals  >:( *posts while wife is in bed and cannot see what he said  :-X*
