Fire Emblem: Awakening

Anyone else have it yet? I haven't had time to get farther than mission 7 in the main story, but so far it's excellent. Not quite used to the new unit interactions yet (lost a blocker due to a teammate "helping"  :P), but it adds a whole new depth to an already deep game. It might become my new favorite game in the series...

About 50 copies sitting next to me. I've never been much of a Fire Emblem fan though, never got into it.

However I am a fan of shiny and sparkly things like the Fire Emblem 3DS...blue is one of my favorite colors, I actually might keep one of these. :)

I've been looking into it. Looks good so far. Question for you. Can you do classic mode off the bat (permadeath)?

The 3DS does look sweet, and if you keep that you might as well give the game a try; one of my friends who never got into FE before recently got the game and is enjoying it so far. :)

I've been thinking about it, it has received incredible reviews so far on metacritic.

I must say having finally beaten this game it is my new favorite FE game and overall DS/3DS game. The character/support system was the best part of the game, and having your own character is something I will look forward to in upcoming FE games (though I don't know how they will top this one).

Anyone with a 3DS should play this game! 8)

Now is this the best FE game in relation to the American Fire Emblems games? or is this also including the Japanese 1-5?

As much as I love Gaiden, 1-3 really can't even be considered in the running for best game of the series. 4 is pretty popular, but the maps are just so big, it's weird and so very different from the other games, and 5 is just plain insanity.

So yeah, 4-5 could be considered for best, but I'm guessing he just meant 'murrca. Personally, 10 (Radiant Dawn) is my favorite. Haven't played 1, 3, 5, 12, or 13 yet though. I've heard really good things about Awakening though, and that is from Fire Emblem fanatics.

I haven't played any of the games not released in the US, so I'm only drawing my conclusions from having played all the US ones.

Leaf is broken.

??? Not sure who/what this is...

The Second Seal is awesome! The game's difficulty makes it not as OP and it's needed to get all the best skills for your characters. The Rally Spectrum skill is borderline broken but I love it.

My guy went tactitian (up to lvl 20) over to Dark mage (almost lvl 18) paired with his great knight wife (sully) he has absurd defense AND magic. So far I haven't hit anyone who can really stop them.

Also the "bonus" characters such as erika and marth. Can they support anyone? Support seems to be a powerful tool and it seems they lose alot by lacking it.

Just play on Lunatic and you'll realize how balanced the second seal is...

Sigurd's son. The worst lord of all time. And Roy set the bar pretty low.

I actually don't know if FE4!Leaf is that bad, but I've heard horror stories about FE5!Leaf. What's funny is his dad is the best lord of all time, with the exception of maybe Ike, but Sigurd has pony, so Sigurd wins.

Oh, I bet but on  nomral/hard my character and his wife can walk around (used 2nd seal once on my OC) and not take damage from even second class people (Sully Greatknight, Myself dark mage). Has anyone finished the game yet? How many chapters (main) are there? (also is it me or if you don't pair up chrom early you miss out on his S ranked marriages?)
