Several:  KY State, North Carolina State   My first big tournament was SE Regionals when DJ hosted it in Lexington, NC.  I have to go back to look to see if ProfU has had a regionals too.  Those are the ones that immediately jump to mind when I reference the SE.
That's all EC, not SE.

Well the message below seems to take care of the MW Region.
Ok Greeson will be in for the Midwest and I will keep trying for Jonathan.  But if he doesnt contact me then I will throw my hat in the ring.
However, that still only means 3 regions have representatives.  And with NC and NE both not being in, it looks like the rest of us might have the chance to slip in and win this 1st annual "smackdown" :)

Agreed. I'm going to give it another week, I'll shoot reminders to those regions. Hopefully we can get all the regions in.

Can I volunteer if my region leader doesn't appoint anyone?

Hey,

There are several players that have changed states or regions over the years.  In my RNRS spreadsheet I tend to keep them listed according to their original state of residence.

For the purposes of this tournament I think they should be categorized according to their current state of residence.  This is a "most dominant region currently" tournament not "most dominant region of all time" tournament.  We would not choose Keith Bartram to represent the Midwest because he's not an active Midwest player, similarly Jonathan Greeson is not an active Midwest player because he's now in the Northeast.  Ben Arp would be a fuzzier decision, as a college student he's still from the Northwest despite living in the Southwest, so I think he should be given the choice of which region he would want to represent (if he is chosen).

I'd put Justin ahead of Maly if T2 is as well represented as T1.

I find this a very ironic, but I expect a very common, sentiment.  To the best of my knowledge Justin and I have played 2 T1-2P games and 2 T2-2P games.  Justin won both of the T1 games and I won both of the T2 games.

Tschow,

Tim "Sir Nobody" Maly

Those are some good points, and I wouldn't have a problem with Jon "Soul Seeker" Greeson playing for either the NE or the MW.  Whatever RDT decides sounds good to me.

Most of all, I'd just like to this thing started :)  Can we get people to volunteer to represent their regions if there is no one else currently representing them at this point?

Where are all the other regional representatives?  It wont look good if only three regions play.

That's why I'm suggesting that people just start volunteering at this point.  If you are from an unrepresented region, and you want to play, give a shout out.

I agree with Underwood - However Tim raises a good point :) I attend College in the Midwest :) I'll toss my hat in over there if Jon ends up playing NE :)

Volunteer's will now be accepted for the regions - Hopefully next year if we do this again we'll have better planning.

I spoke to Roy (who RDT assigned as representative) at the NY State tourney, and he prefers me to play/represent the NE since that is where I now reside and predominantly play.

RDT, you mind updating the first post with all these new volunteers?  That way others will know which spots are left open :)

Done and Done - Jon has been moved to the NE, currently 3 regions are full, with two more half full.
