I don't really like calling Redemption an "alternative" to MTG.
??? That's a large part of what it was made for...
Why does everything Christian have to be an alternative to secular stuff? Why can't it be an ORIGINAL ccg, because Redemption is. Its not a Christian rip-off of MTG.

IMO just because something is an alternative to something else doesn't necessarily make it a "rip off" though i think it has many similarities to MTG.

An alternative and a new version of the same thing (or "rip-off") are COMPLETELY different things. Going to the gym is an alternative to watching a movie. Does that mean going to the gym is a rip-off of watching a movie?

oh and for the references what about cards like Ahithophel that band to evil characters  with reference from II Samuel 14-17? if you just have II samuel as the reference on a card how will you know? I think we shoud do reference like "luke reference" but then have the exact scripture as a category too(also for cards like david so you know if his name is in the scripture or not)

I say no, because we dont need to have 1000000 categories for every scripture reference. If anything, do it only for the cards that specify it, but I see no reason to do it for every card.

Also, another way around this is to simply talk about it on the card page, and link to the cards you can use with it. We can also do this with cards like High Places.

*EDIT*

http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Ahithophel <-- Using your own example. ;)

Lambo or someone else in charge of a good portion of stuff, could you please search "King Joash?" Let me know if that's how I should be doing cards. Thanks.

Okay yeah I totally get it now. Thanks man!

There's still one thing I don't get: How do I post the picture? I think I've got everything else down.

{{infobox
|Box title    =
|image        = Image:TemplateUR.jpg <-- Post the URL right here.
|imagewidth   = 241
|Row 1 title  = Type
....

*EDIT*

Also, when you copy and paste right from the REG, paste it into something like Notepad first to kill all of the obnoxious hyperlinks that go back to the REG.

*EDIT 2*

Dont put a "character" category, just use Hero for these guys.

http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/File:King_Joash_(Pi).gif <-- theres the image page, all you need is to post the last part, so you use...

King_Joash_(Pi).gif

So, the finished result looks like this:

|image        = Image:King_Joash_(Pi).gif

*Edit*

Also, please try to type out the full scripture on the card, not just the reference at the end. It'll make it easier when cards specify specific things in the scripture.

LN, one more thing I've noticed.

For the reference, please make it "Acts Reference" rather than just "Acts" Check the master list of categories to see which ones you should use.

Yeah, it takes a little bit to get used to the system, but once you've done a few it gets easier.

Additional note:

When you add a description to the card page, put it below the card box section, rather than above. This keep the card box at the top, and the description goes to the left of it.

Just finished Catalyst, a "campus days" sort of thing for Masters's Commission, which is why I haven't been as available as I'd like to be.  Did introduce several people to Redemption.

Lambo's now an Admin.  We're not going to do an individual scripture category, that wouldn't work how you want it to.  What you can do is link all applicable cards in the "Card Links" section, as Lambo said.
To all the people who are new to Wikis, good job persevering.  Your assistance here is crucial.
As to the history page, I'd like to have one originally written, not just (lovingly) ripped off of Cactus' site.  That's low priority though.
I've created a template for pages that don't conform to our standards.  Simply add {{code}} to the top of a page.

Where someone slapped together something, and didn't check card template.  Note that this is different than INCOMPLETE, where the person added themselves, knowingly missing info they didn't have.

It shouldn't take too long once people get the hang of the formatting. I'd guess we could have the majority of this done before the end of the summer if we constantly work on it.

We already have like 100 stubs, don't we? I'll bet we could get the skeleton done by the end of next month. I would help if I had ANY clue what I was doing...

69 total articles, at last count.
Considering how the standard card article is one step above stub, that's pretty good.
