Spoiler (hover to show)

I always liked a Roman defense and would love to see more Roman-related cards made.  I thought of this one tonight.  Its TC ability is strong in that it can negate your opponents' pesky good forts, such as Throne, Noah's Ark, etc., with the exception of a couple CBN forts (Dust and Ashes and the new Tabernacle).  Not overly strong against an angel offense, though, but hopefully the CBI band will leave you a blocker in battle if an angel is added to battle.

Ha good point.  It was late and I wasn't paying attention when I chose the first thing that even remotely resembled gray.

Here's an updated version.  Changed up the good fortress ability and added paralyzation to the withdraw since he's a generic character and could re-enter battle...and it's thematic since the Bible says they "shook with fear and became like dead men" once the angel appeared.

With the change from "negate" to "reserve," I think this would be more balanced as non-TC.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

I thought that too after looking at it later.

If you did that though then they would still be able to block an angel. In that case you should probably change it to "If an angel is in battle...".

Although space is tight, you could also add an "if blocking" to the governor/emperor condition to allow the paralyze without it reserving forts as soon as it hits territory.
ANB is good. Change my mind.

That’s actually a good point about adding “if blocking.” If they get converted you may not want then to reserve a good fort (thematically speaking, of course). It would be better if the ability was tied to blocking (since they were blocking/guarding TGT).
