Okay I know this is a loaded question but which system has the overall best Rpgs and Fps games??? I am thinking the Xbox 360 has the more unique when it comes to RPGs especially...but wasn't for sure. :)  Fire away with your thoughts...still pondering which one to get, for Christmas.

xbox 360, hands down. their first person shooter games are unparalleled (in both games and controller), and they also have the best rpgs. some of the best ones:

shooters:
1. modern warfare 2
2. halo 3
3. gears of war 2
4. orange box
5. halo: odst
6. left for dead 2

rpgs:
1. fable 2
2. mass effect 2
3. marvel: ultimate alliance 2

and then you have the games that are a combination of both (probably the best games you'll ever play in your life):
1. fallout 3
2. borderlands
3. bioshock

I hate FPS's, and that's all X-Box can realy claim to pwn at. For RPG's, I think PlayStation dominates. However, I think Wii is the best, because it's family-friendly, has the best party games, and of course, Mario. ::)

Only ones in that list that you cant find on PC. However, PC also has...

FPS:
Crysis
STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl / Clear Sky
Far Cry 1
Unreal Tournament 2004
Deus Ex

as far as RPGs go, I'm not totally sure what the PC has, as I don't really play them

I support this post. Though I've never played Fallout/Borderlands/Bioshock, I've heard they are all amazing (especially Fallout).

If you want the most of both, go with a 360. In a perfect world (lol), you'd have both a 360 and PS3 for all the games that only come out on one or the other (Fable 2 for 360 and inFamous for PS3, to name a couple RPG's).

uncharted 2 has won a couple game of the years lately (xplay, spike tv vga's), so thats another great ps3 exclusive to pick up.

PS/PS2 - Final Fantasies out the wazoo, Kingdom Hearts 1/2, Lunar, Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia 1/2, Mega Man Command Mission X,
Chrono Cross, Jade Cocoon 1/2, Dark Cloud 1/2, Dragon Warriors, Grandias, a lot more I can't remember right now

SNES - Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasies, Super Mario RPG, Lufia 1/2, Lagoon, Zelda, Terranigma, Dragon Warriors, Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia, Breath of Fires, more I can't remember

360 - Already been mentioned.

hmm, i always considered the snes era to be the 'golden age' of rpg's. too many stellar ones to list...although, personally, i think chrono trigger is by far the best rpg ever created.

Just a note... bringing up old topics like this is commonly refered to as necroposting... and it's generally considered to be kind of annoying. So, try to keep necroposts to a minimum.  :P

Yeah, the idea of necroposting has always confused me. Do some people really read backlogs from months, years ago?

I think that when a new member comes to the boards, every post that exists goes to that person's "unread posts since last visit" page. So...they respond to them. And then people yell at them. And then they cry.

Well, in some of our forums stuff on page 2 is from months or years ago, so going back one page isn't that uncommon.

Ok,i'm still curious why people even care if someone pulls up an old post or not.Its not that big of a deal, but I guess it can be annoying.

Because it clogs up the front page with threads that have already been read, been dead, and without an addition of relevant post, its just taking space.
