I tried that game a while ago.  It got tiring pretty quick, since you would die every 2 seconds on average.  I think I only made it to the 4th screen before I stopped playing.

A friend of mine (who is insane like this) has beaten all three styles.  He's also beaten Dragonforce on Expert.
He also has almost no friends.
