I got the holiday bundle from last Christmas still new in box with warranty: Elite 120 GB with Lego Batman and PURE.  I'm probably going to get rid of the two games because they don't interest me at all.  I got that one game that starts with a "D" and ends with "ragon Age" for $38 sealed new in box as well as said game's expansion that releases on the 16th for just $39.

Side question: Why aren't we allowed to say game names?  That seems stupid to me.
May you prosper greatly!

ive always wondered that myself. i feel as long as we don't go in-depth about a m-rated game, then that should be ok. a name is not m-rated...the content is. apparantly some individuals are narrow-minded.

my only complaint about halo wars is it dosen't have a pc version.  there hasn't been a new rts game now in a couple years (unless civilization came up with one),  The fact that ensemble studios dosen't help much either.  star craft 3 come sometime before 2020

apparantly some individuals are narrow-minded well under the appropriate age as stated on the front of the box.

Fixed.

I read it before you highlighted it.  It doesn't change the response, nor does it change the policy that predates my assignment to uphold it.

Hey, I have a good idea.  Let's print cards of Biblical characters like Jezebel, Bathsheba, and Eve so 7 year old kids can look at soft porn.

The above statement is exactly why we need a sarcasm function akin to the quote function.

I don't think Rob would feel that the boards would benefit from encouraging behavior that tears down other people to make a point.

Tearing down of persons was not intended.  The aforementioned cards present a more harmful environment than does saying the names of M-rated games.

Tearing down of persons was not intended.

That is what sarcasm does by design.  The only form of sarcasm that does not is the self-deprecating kind.

That is your subjective assessment, which is not a matter for debate here, nor is this a negotiation to set the policy.  It is not the job of this board to determine what amount of exposure the children of other parents should have to adult material.  We filter our content to a level appropriate to the lower age range of visitors and whatever the parents want to do beyond that is their purview, not ours.

Leaving all of that aside, your example pushes the age of the example child (7) below that for which Redemption itself is recommended (8), and the only examples you have are 15 year old cards that are mostly out of print.  I invite you to consider whether there might be a reason that brand of artwork has not perpetuated or resurfaced, despite their more-or-less innocuous presentation.

not true. faithful servant promo is very provocative.

hey, i have an idea: much like how off-topic has open discussion to discuss more mature material, why not have the video game section have a similiar function where those of age are allowed to discuss m-rated games?

If you stop and think very carefully about the foundation of your question, I think you'll find that your solution is staring you in the face.

when someone asks a question, they expect an answer, not a 'figure it out for yourself' essentially. you can either tell me the answer, or you can keep going in circles.

so, hey, again, putting this out there for those capable of actually answering...

I am the only one capable of addressing your question other than Rob, and you have your answer.  The policy regarding age-appropriate video games is not going to be altered, and no  additional  boards to address age-sensitive material are going to be created.

I've noticed several posts that have gone missing, and some posts that I had read before were marked as new. Just a consequence of Schaef crashing the server I guess*...
