So, I made this list right after PoC 2 dropped. I planned to use a version of this deck this year but I haven't even got around to building it thanks to focusing on my other deck (and not having a lot of time to do Redemption things). Oops. :P

I made a lot of changes from my other builds of this deck. Mostly just to try out new cards. But I never really got around to actually testing this, so there's probably room for improvement. Do what you will.

I really think Joy wants to be in this deck...so many strong targets (Esther is the obvious one, but Hannah, Chenny and Elders are pretty good as CBN options as well).

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

I use an AutO + Sam + David + King Saul Musician/Persian deck. - Compared to your offense: What do you all think, which combination do you prefer and why (I can post the deck list if wanted)?
I am currently not very satisfied with my deck. While defense mostly does its job, offense often cannot win enough battles. What I like about the Persians is their really strong banding (which can be very double-edged) and all their additional effects they bring in while defending.

Joy is a luxury for decks at this point. The time it takes to get it and put it on the Hero you want is better spent doing something else.

Not really sure what you mean? I would not go the AutO + Sam route in a deck like this. It adds too many brigades and dilutes the offense too much for me.

I mean I have a Musicians/Persions deck where the heros are: AutO, Sam, David (Psalmist), Hannah, Miriam, Asaph, Chen, ML, Shunammite Woman plus King Saul as another brown banding ability. Support and defense varies a little compared to your version too.

That's thing though--you just draw it naturally and it's not really that hard to get any Hero you want when you're running ML and LR. It's going to put pressure on the opponent regardless if it's the early, mid or late game.

I have Joy in reserve and get it out with 5th seal, which is easy to get from deck or discard with consider the lilies and love righteousness.  Esther+Joy is one of the best RA in the game, and since both are still great cards in this deck on their own, its a no brainer to me to put it in somewhere

I really hate naturally drawing cards that aren't battle winners, negates, or speed related. Even powerful stuff like YWR (and in this case, Joy) feels so bad to draw when you are don't have a huge surplus of cards yet. Joy would be great to draw naturally if my deck's engine is running and I have tons of cards but it really hurts in your opening hand or when you're behind.

Sounds like you need a new Hope ;) You aren't even running Woman with Child or Priests of Christ! What is this?!

Joy makes Esther a BOSS!!
