If you really just want a D that techs against Disciples, then use Philistines with a Simon the Magician splash. Use Goliath's Armor, Joseph in Prison, Bringing Fear, Foolish Advice, and Overwhelmed by Philistines as your enhancements. It's compact, Philistine Outpost speeds up your deck, and you have multiple CBN battlewinners against Disciples. And it won't be useless against other offenses.

Because it's generally too large and can get screwed by the draws. It's also generally reliant on the opponent playing moderately fast. A slow opponent is an automatic time out, no matter what.

Oh. You'll never get initiative with the good W/C philistines (Falolen Warrior could get initiative), and it's basically the only enhancement you'll want to play off of Philly Chariot, so there's no reason to include both. Phillies strength is running their opponents out of stuff to do. They play one CBN battle winner, they probably won't have another in the same brigade. Block that brigade with 12FG and pwn their faces off with interrupts. If they attack elsewhere, block Philly Garrison so they have to interrupt. Very few interrupts are also CBN, so pwn their faces off with an interrupt. Eventually they will run out of things and desperately rescue to waste time, in which Garrison or 12FG will pwn their faces off without back up.

For a small defense ( witch playing disciples kinda mandatorizises) philistines or orange/magicians are definatly your best option.

Phillies are decent with Di, but Di is fast and Phillies is not. If you want to rank/win nats either play with Di/Pharisees, or know how to beat that deck.
