Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Gray • Ability: 0 / 5 • Class: Weapon • Special Ability: You may discard this card to convert a human Hero in play to a Hero in the brigade of your choice. • Attributes: Depicts a Weapon, Connected with David • Identifiers: OT, Depicts a Weapon, Connected with David

"We've" been brainstorming on best ways to use Gold Shield. We thought how using Gold Shield could be used to convert one's own ET to teal. We even toyed with the idea of using it as a defense for a site deck. We know it is connected with David but we wonder if David (kings) could hold GS?

Has anyone used this card?

How did you use it? and did it prove useful?

Were you thinking of putting it on another w/c ec and using in on Namaan while he had his chariot? Wouldn't Namaan have to have been converted to a Hero first?

I like this idea. You also get the benefit of having an NT teal hero.

I have another thread under rulings just for that question. The REG says that it only applies to GC to EC not GC to GC. Cool huh?

When a hero is converted to an EC he loses his ability, not if he goes to a different brigade, or else training in R would negate that heroes ability.

Antiochus with Gold shield. They either discard their hero, which is great. Or they sacrafice something, and then they can't even support their hero. It's awesome. And do you have to use it in battle? I don't think so...

syrian archer/gold shield + antiochus works far better. guaranteed discard of a hero in battle everytime.

yes, the gold shield on archer activates before antiochus' ability does. just convert the hero in battle to a color your opponent most likely doesnt have, then discard it with antiochus.
