Does the 3-Liner LSs card still need to be rescued by the same player, or can it be rescued by the TEAM?

We've always played as a literal reading meaning it has to be the same player.  That makes it worth using in Teams.

I've heard multiple elders rule it differently. I think I posted about this a while back, let me look for the thread.

EDIT:
For the purposes of the 3 Liner, is the team considered the same player?
I'm pretty sure that no matter where you live, the 3-liner has to be rescued twice by the same PERSON, therefore the team would NOT be considered the same player.

Gabe and Kevin ruled it differently at IA State, but Prof's comment is more recent.

Well, that's a problem. I think we need an Elder concensus answer.  :-\

I have heard the argument that any player from a team can rescue the 3-Liner, but ever since TEAMS became an official category, we have used the strict definitions of cards and abilities, which means that "your hero" is a hero that belongs to you (not your teammate), and that you and your teammate are not the same person for purposes of the 3-Liner. I would say that unless any Elder comes on to defend the other position, you can take my ruling (or confirmation of Prof U's ruling) as the ruling.

I'm fine with that, since that is how I ruled on Saturday. I just wanted to make sure that we were all on the same page.

Yes, that is what they are saying, which is very important, since you and your teammate can not both play SoG.

Has there been any coherent comprehensive Teams rules made available? Hoping there will be a page or two in the new rulebook...

I know early on there were rules about transferring through fortresses (storehouse, KotW), but that was simply allowed by "special rule". Is this still the case?

Thanks Jacob! That's very helpful. Maybe we'll give teams a try up here in Braymer soon.

This is most unfortunate, as it was ruled the opposite at Iowa Regionals last year in our final Teams game. Consistency ftl. :'(

The Important thing to remember is that 2 Individual players are working together to accomplish one goal--  Rescue 5 lost souls.
So you still have different decks, different hands etc.  Cards which reference a player ( not a team mate of a player) must follow through with game actions by that specific player.

The Lack of consistent ruling is the primary reason there has been only 2 teams events in my tournaments ever, and probably won't be either.
In AMERICA!!
