I'm still a tad confused as to "Why?" players would not want Haman's Plot to be used in the online tournament.   In an online tournament, removing it from the game is just a effective as tearing it in real life. Just my  :2cents:

Godspeed,
Mike
You're missing the impact of HP. It's not about not using it anymore that game. It's about NEVER using it. That's what made people hesitate, and balanced out how crazy freaking good it is.  ;D
People don't want to use it cause then they can never use it again. Now, online, people don't have any impact. They use it every game, and never spend anymore money.

If someone can get Bryon, or Rob or whoever is responsible for making the card to post on this thread and say, seriously, "if haman's plot was able to be used every game, I still would have made it. The end clause really isn't that important," then I will have not objections. Bryon? Rob?

EDIT: Caleb I accept and I say ban it.

I understand your frustration, and HP is powerful.  But it isn't more powerful than NJ which would usually be people's first choice to ban.  It isn't even as powerful as AoCP, and you don't have a problem with that even though you can play with that online even if you've never been to Nats and don't really have one yourself.  I just think it is a slippery slope once we start banning cards for any reason.

As for never using it again, people could easily enter 3 decks into a tournament which all had HPs in them.  Perhaps a compromise would be that a player would only be allowed to use HP 3 times in a given month of the online tourney.  This would be a bit of a pain to regulate, but as long as people reported it being used against them when they report their scores, then this could be kept track of.  I still think we should go the simpler route and just not care if people play it.  However, I would present this as a compromise option.

I don't think that'd be a very good compromise. From what I've seen, fireninja believes the problem isn't you can use it against everyone you play, it is you have no reason not to use it...
They use it every game, and never spend anymore money.
I find many brown defenses won't use Haman's Plot just because they don't want to use a one-use expensive rare. If you use it in real life, your out a $5 card. If you use it in RTS, your out absolutely nothing.

A fairer compromise would be not awarding full points if they used Haman's Plot... buuuut...........

I vote it stays unbanned.

I'm not sure why this applies. Does NJ say, "then, you may rip this card in half?" I'm not saying to ban any card that is powerfull... I'm only saying that because of that last little requirement.

If this passes, then I'll just use jephtah and not discard my top card. Since we are now forgetting requirements and not completing abilities, why not just use destroyer without the removal? Let's just use wickedness removed and discard it instead. YOU CAN'T RIP AN ONLINE CARD. It's a fact. Having a "substitute" is no different that substituting removing wickedness removed with discarding it. You can't just substitute something cause you want to. If you can't rip the card, then you can't rip it. Just like you can't use Jepthah with no deck. End of story.

@sauce, is sounds like you don't agree with using haman's plot... and I agree with all your points... wouldn't you then want it banned?

*insert rant about people using Haman's Plot on RTS...

If it's that big of a deal to you then don't play in the online tournament and make sure your opponent isn't using it before you play in a casual game. ;)

If you want to make a big discussion about it, start another thread.  I'll be happy to weigh in with my opinion there. :)  All that was asked for was for people to cast their ballot, yes or no.  Not a campaign to rally people to your cause.

FWIW, I vote to allow Haman's Plot. No banning cards, anywhere, ever!

I don't like it being used, and I won't use it for that reason. I just want it to stay unbanned because I don't believe a line needs to be drawn.

Haman’s Plot

In reality, it is no big deal other than having to tear it in half.   ::)

I currently am not in this tournament, as I have a busy schedule during this time. I plan on getting in on the next one though.

I won my game against Caleb.  If he only would have made a few decisions differently he would have beaten me pretty handily.  He's got a tough deck!
