We used some odds to determine a winner by a combination of rolling dice. Justin needed a combined 15 and we rolled a combined 14. Made me laugh.

The other interesting note...Rubble & Dust saved the game for Josiah...not going to say how exactly, but I believe he cut Christian Martyr for it and it absolutely paid off for him.

If anyone is curious where the 1/22 came from, I had Falling Away left in my deck with 23 other cards (2 of which being Lost Souls), and I had an EC who would give me a draw 1 (before being defeated by Josiah's Hero). If my top card happened to be Falling Away, then I would stall one more turn.

First I picked a number between 1 and 22, which was 15.
Then I rolled a six-sided die--
1 or 2 equaled 0
3 or 4 equaled 1
5 or 6 equaled 2

I rolled a 4, which meant 1.

Then I rolled a twenty-sided die and if adding them together equaled 15, that would mean I "hit" Falling Away.

I rolled a 13...in other words, Falling Away was the next card away...

I mean, I'm no math expert, but I'm pretty sure you gave yourself 1/20 odds and not 1/22. The first roll does not make your chances of adding up to '15' any more or less, it just changes what you need to roll on the D20. If you had 0, you would need to roll a '15' exactly, 1 a '14' exactly or 2 a '13' exactly. To roll any of these numbers the odds are 1/20.

Not that it matters because you missed anyways, but it gave you a very slight better odds using the method you used

Hmm, indeed you're correct, though had I picked 1, 2, 21, or 22 my odds would have been less. I guess we were so wrapped up in wanting to finish that I didn't stop to fully think through the math.

Agreed, I think if you had picked either '2' or '21' the odds would have been 1/30, and '1' or '22' the odds would have been only 1/60.

I watched this challenge game and when Red blocked with King Egg I was like, "oh, he's 100% going to try to take an Enhancement from your hand. Too bad you've got Storehouse." And then he does, and you give him one anyway? That's pretty generous.

I have decided to continue the challenge up until North Central Regionals on July 6th. I will draw the winners at the tournament.
