THE BIG LEAGUE HOMEPAGE

I would really like to see people get more competitive games of type two in before the big tournaments. A fun game just doesn't mirror a tournament atmosphere like it should. Therefore I have decided to have an Unofficial type two tournament for May or April (depending on how fast this thing goes). If you are interested in playing and you have RTS simply post here and I can add you to the list of people interested.

What is it?
Swiss style type 2 only. 1 tournament game per week. Scoring is the same for normal tournaments. Losers to not get points. This is the big league its time to put on our big boy pants.

How do I sign up?

Are there prizes?
yes, the winner will get a sealed di pack
second place (if there is enough people) a $3 pack of your choose

Note, this tournament is unofficial and will not result in any rnrs points. feel free to pretend you actually won something.

I'd really like to get into T2. I've played a few times before, but that was with a borrowed deck. If someone would be willing to walk me through the making of a deck (doesn't have to be top level, just fun) I'd be willing to participate.

8, that sounds good, I don't know who else would be intested... besides Guardian, don't know though.
Just Throwing something out there... How about Round Robin? Right now you would have a month to play the 7 other people. What do you people think? Personally I think that gives us a clearer winner.. The only problem is pacing yourself and like march root that didn't work two well. Maybe 4 rounds, one per week is better. Thoughts?

That's up to Hobbit, since he's running this tourney, but I would highly suggest a longer time limit to accommodate the slower play of RTS. At least 2 hrs would probably be needed sometimes. (although maybe not if everyone plays speedy disciples decks this year).

Sigh* I will make a new network... Slug and Matt you are welcome to join, nothing has been started yet, I was just waiting a bit for some others... So currently we have ten.. I will get the pairings started shortly.. If guardian wants to join he can get a buy

A two hour timelimit is good, although if you both agree before hand feel free to waive it. Not to worried about defensive heavy deck abuse.

Hey SK, I would be willing to help. I can practically guarantee that with my advice your deck won't be top level.

Just PM me with some idea about what kind of things you like to play.

@SomeKittens:

Here's a little check list of things I like to include in my t2s. Pretty sure I'm missing a few:

Anti-Capture of some sort (ie: Blue Tassels)
Some sort of late game strategy for offense (ie: Job, recursion)
Deck thinning (drawing, searching, etc)
Counter to ignore (Golgotha, Haman's Gallows)
Counter to CTB (Kotw, Kir)
Counter to FBTN (CBN stuff, HoH)
Protection from aocp/territory destruction (protection fort, Kotw, etc)
Site access (keep land dispute in mind. Fishing Boat, Access + CP)
An auto block of some sort (aka Uzzah)
Some artifact killer (Captured Ark, Casting Lots)
Something to win battles if your character is GF KO'd (Writ, Charms, Herod's Treachery, Unknown Nation)
Banding of some kind (in case you're fearing CM or can't get around writ, or something)
