I think playmats are a cool idea--
and to link it to the cost cutting food discussion that has been ongoing, you could make it edible--
kinda like a fruit roll-up!

The layout is not complete because we are waiting on art, but it will be based on the rule book layout. I'm sure Ken will share a pic when it's available.
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

Was the art decided on yet? And I would like to see no card boxes on the mat. Have the mat just be for protection and coolness, and let players put cards on the mat as they would on a table.

Everything is decided but needs approval, and I'll be sure to share it when it's approved. :)

I for one would like to have card boxes on my playmat. FWIW.

Given the choice, I'd go for one without card boxes.

Right. Everyone plays a little differently, and defense/offense heavy decks may require more cards in some spaces than others.

I would definitely love one. I could actually have a playmay from my favorite game, and I can play with a different playmat than my WoW Playmat! I do love the art from the "Grapes of Wrath/""Mayhem" Playmat. And it does look sick in the Redemption CA variation.

Thanks for bringing this back up. :) Due to the busy schedules of some of the people involved in this project they are not yet available. However, I can tell you that it WILL be happening this year, and there will PROBABLY be two playmat options to choose from.

I am definitely guilty of being the brakes on this project. Sorry to all who have been waiting in anticipation. My timeline is going to put production somewhere around early to mid March. I was also considering using the playmats for tournament prizes in addition to being able to buy them. If you take first place at one of my tournaments, you would receive a playmat. Tournament entries would have to be a little more expensive, but that would be an easy way to spread out the cost a bit more. Thanks for your patience everyone!

Travis
