How many of the full set of phase 1 early church sets exist?
« on: August 11, 2014, 08:20:19 PM »

Chris Bany said he had 1140 packs of the phase one Print. I assume that's all that exist.

6 new cards in each pack so 6840 new cards printed.

72 new cards in the set.

If no rarity is in the set then there should be 95 complete phase 1 sets.

However we know there are 2 ultra rares and I heard 16 rares. I don't know the ratio of there printing.
If the UR is is only 20% as likely as a common. (Big if cuz I don't know the %) Then there are only 19 full phase 1 Early Church sets that will ever be available.

It will be reprinted with corrections to some abilities and possibly some other modifications to certain cards.

Do we know if the promos (Dragon Raid and Glory of the Lord) count against this 72 card number? That would effect your calculation somewhat.

As far as I know they are 71 and 72 of the set

If my calculations are correct that also means there are only 19 of each ultra rare that will ever be available from the first printing.  If their backgrounds get changed to gold for the UR then we will be able to distinguish the reprint of phase 1 from the original phase 1's..  Or if the set gets numbered we will be able to see which ones are numbered and which aren't.

Good to know are they included in on the same sheets as this phase 1 first run though?

The only 74/74 card set that I know about is mine. I know Travis has 73 cards but I don't Know if he has a "Dragon Raid". I also Know that I am 2 cards away from having 2 74 card sets. How many are possible I don't know but would like to know.

Rob is planning to number the reprinted set, however his first priority is to fix cards that are OP/confusing.

So there are literally approx 20 or less of
Each 1st edition UR's from The Early Church. That's awesome!

The two promos were ordered independently, prior to the production of the 72 cards. There's a thread where Rob announced that publicly and mentioned that there were some hidden costs so packs after Nationals will contain 5 cards from the new set instead of 6.

So will it be replaced with another FooF, Kings, or RoA card or will the packs just have 14 cards?

Packs will still be 15 cards. I don't think Rob was specific in what the replacement card would be.

I do have a full set of the Early Church Phase 1 cards. They are printed 18 to a sheet which means that the UR and Rares are printed on the same sheet (IMO). That means the entire set is printed on four sheets and the promos (as Gabe mentoioned) are printed independently of the set. Seeing the difficulty of pulling the UR cards at Nats makes me think that somewhere there is a stack of the two URs at Cactus. Perhaps they snagged one from every other Rare/UR sheet. I was told that all of the playtesters received a full set of the cards for playtesting the set. That would mean that there are at least three sets mentioned in this thread (including mine and Alan Collin's set and the other one mentioned here w/ Dragon Raid :P ) and then however many playtesters there are currently.

I currently have both of the UR's as well which is another set of them.

So if Travis is right which I assume he is then there are 95 of each card including the UR's but around 1/2 of the UR's are not in circulation even after play testers get their copies.

FTR, play testers will not receive any product from Cactus until after the next print run.

So the rarity of the cards is cool, and I do think that helps the market!  I think it would be nice if we knew which ones were considered Ultra-Rares, Rares, etc., does anyone have this list?
