Thadds only problem is that outside of a disciples deck he is useless. John has many different decks that he would be useful in and the preventing ability has really hurt me when I don't have much defense.
But this isn't "by themselves." We wouldn't have MMoJ winning either.
he is more of a Horse then a Pony lol
This is an interesting matchup. We have one Hero who is clearly better in T1 decks (John) and one who is clearly better in T2 decks (Thad). So I'm guessing most of the votes are going by which category you play mostly. Of course, Thad is ahead by 10...and I know there are more T1 players out there.
I really liked the Disciples article on James the Less last June. I enjoyed reading on the reasoning for making his card the way it is. I'd REALLY like to read up on the reasoning for all the Disciples, Thad especially. From reading the Bible, you really don't hear much about him or some of the other disciples. (For example, why does Simon the Zealot discard Rome? Why is Philip immune to Greeks?) But I'm super curious on WHY Thad got his ability. I don't know where to post this question, so I thought I'd try it here... Maybe some playtesters have some insight they'd share?
I believe in the "New Card Ideas" thread they explain it well. He was absolutely awful, and they decided to expand his ability last moment, and they didn't get a chance to playtest it.
