SO I WAS INVITED TO PLAY REDEMPTION FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEEEEARS.  WE WERE PLAYING BOOSTER DRAFT WHICH SOUNDED LIKE A GREAT WAY TO GET BACK IN THE GAME.

THERE ARE NO SOULS OUT EXCEPT FOR TWO IN SITES, BUT LUCKILY I TOPDECK TITUS SO I CAN PLAY MY BENEDICTUS AND GET ACCESS. I WAS LIKE, WAIT....I DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO THE FIRST ROUND, AND THE OTHER GUY HAS A LOT OF DEFENSE. BUT THEN I REMEMBMERED THAT BENEDICTUS NEGATES SOULS. SO I RESCUE AFTER THE FIRST ROUND IN A SILVER SITE ON THE FIRST ROUND WITH TITUS.

THE GUY, WHO IS A TOTAL CHEAT REGARDLESS OF HIS MULTIPLE NATIONAL TITLES, DROPS BURIAL FROM HIS HAND.

THE ENTIRE TABLE ERUPTS IN WUTS (EWUTS, YOU MIGHT SAY) THE DUDE IS ALL CHILL LIKE, BURIAL PROMO IN TEXP.

I THINK IT'S FISHY. CAN YOU EVEN GET BURIAL PROMO IN TEXP?

FIX IT MJB. FIX IT. YOU MIGHT HAVE COST ME MY ONLY GAME THIS YEAR.

Well I opened 103 TxP packs in lackey and got

4 Son of Gods
1 Burial
1 Christian Martyr
2 Angel or the Lords

So yeah, something funky's going on there.

Also I got 2 Grapes and 2 mayhem in those packs, so the doms that weren't supposed to be there were more commmon than the ones that were.

After further investigation by myself and Drrek, we determined that the starter deck dominants got mixed into the card pool of the Unlimited set, which is a Burial was pulled in our game (and why Drrek and I pulled multiple starter deck dominants when we each "opened" 100 packs of TexP). This also explains why the image was of the Unlimited version of Burial, and not the promo. Of the 200 packs we opened, no other of the "Original 10" promos were pulled.

I'm not sure how likely it is for Lackey to be used for an official Booster draft tournament, but it could be fun to just leave it as is and know that every once in awhile, someone is going to pull a starter deck dominant. If you include enough TexP and Warrior packs in a given draft, someone could even end up with SoG/NJ...  :o
