Question: can you say "I am going to put cards in my territory after my draw" the same way you can say "I am searching for a dominant and going to play it" and not get Mayhemed in the face?

Yeah, you have to stop somewhere otherwise I'd just sit down and narrate how I hoped the game would go and win every game 5-0 because I announced all my intentions to play siq battle winners for 3 straight turns then sog/nj

When you're searching for a dominant, you have a chance to respond to your own action. If you intend to play a dominant after the draw, then yes, but merely for cards in your territory, no.

well then they should fix mayhem... because thats just ridiculous how you can mayhem someone immediately after their draw phase. Lampstand is going to become a staple in every deck soon...

Not anymore. Lampstand was ruled to only protect cards face-up on the table (see Gabe's threads in Ruling Questions). It no longer protects from Mayhem. Run Nazareth or Simon the Zealot instead.

Dominants never necessitate a character to be in battle.

except grapes.

but yes, run naz to straight up hard counter it. simon the z is good, but can easily be negated/defeated in battle/discarded.

You can play Grapes, it just does nothing unless it is the battle phase.

*see comment about lampy*

RBD is sick, almost to the point of protecting it with Lampy.

Given the OP's normal posting patterns, I'd say probably yes.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
