I didn't know Tashian was a black guy.   :D


I remember listening to Dez Dickerson back when he used to play with Prince at the First Avenue. It was completely awesome, although since my musical tastes had yet to mature, I preferred The Replacements and The Flaming O's.

I just saw Dez Dickerson play with the Longplayers (http://thelongplayers.com/) on Purple Rain and Little Red Corvette (the latter of which Rolling Stone gave him #64 on greatest guitar solos of all time). It was an incredible sight to see. Ironically, Daniel Tashian also played with the Longplayers on the same night and even sang a song with Dez.
