I wanted to make the card image because I intended this to be an UR/Promo-strength card, but I couldn't find a good picture for it.

First glance, I think this is really cool! I think a lot of people would play it.

I like this idea.  What brigade would it take?

The default rule for conversion is that you convert to the brigade of the converting card unless otherwise specified. So in this case you'd get to choose whether the Hero is gold or white. I'm glad you like it. :)

Wouldn't it be both brigades?

Possibly, I'm not sure. I gave it 2 brigades to limit the number you could have in your deck, though I only intended the LS to have 1 brigade. Though, I don't think it would be too OP to be dual-brigade.

Lost Souls doesn't have a special ability (I believe it's treated as an identifier) so no problem there, since this card only redeems once the Souls cards would only count as 1 redeemed Soul just like any other Soul. For other LS cards, there're 2 options: 1) Keep the current rule of "if it makes sense for a Hero, it converts", or 2) make an addendum game rule that converted Souls lose their special ability.

but when u redeem the 2/3-liner, it counts as 2 souls, so idk how that would be different if it were redeemed as a hero, since the new card only says to redeem the lost soul if it wins

For the sake of this discussion and card design, the 2/3 liner is a special ability that's been errata'd to receive CBN. I know there was talk of making it an identifier, but that would allow 7 in a normal T1 deck. I don't think any of us want that. :)
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

There wasn't just talk of making it an identifier, that was the original errata, until people pointed out the problem with it.
