Not Yet The End

An outside-the-box idea based on Matthew 24:6 - "You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end."

Not Yet The End
Dual Alignment Dominant (Lamb/Reaper)
"Reveal your hand.  If you have no Dominants in hand, territory, set-aside, or discard (except this one), separate your discard pile into two piles.  Opponent removes one pile from the game.  Underdeck the other."
Matthew 24:6

this has the possibility to break the game, but it's a pretty cool mechanic and i really like the idea.

Either gives you incentive to run no/few dominants or remove you own discard pile when you play the ones you have, in hopes to get some other awesome cards back!  I likey!

I tried to do a quick analysis of what would be broken about this card if either you played no Doms, or removed your played Doms from the game first.  Cards like Sing and Praise, A New Creation, Ashtaroth Worship, etc hit most or all cards.  I couldn't think of a way to remove only your Doms from your own discard pile.

I don't think anyone would argue that playing no Doms and then this would be broken   ;)   Either you are under the Dom limit to maximize this card, or it's early in the game and there won't be much (if anything) in your discard pile.

However, if even one special interaction is missed, this could easily be a broken card.  I welcome everyone to try and break it   :D

I love the idea of a dual dom! A couple things:

If you're not running Doms (outside of this one), I'm not sure how long you'll last against an opponent who is. You'll likely want to use this mid/late game to get something out of it, and by that time you might already be overrun without FA,CM,Grapes, etc. As well, this is easily avoided with cards that remove the discard pile from the game.

How would you go about separating your discard pile into two piles? Would they be equal? One good, one evil? I think it should be specific.

This would be funny to use with Gates o' Hell and a large deck. ;)

-Otherwise, I like this concept quite a bit.
If you were to go on a trip... where would you like to go?

One thing I thought of was giving the player the option of adding the pile to hand, or maybe exchanging the pile with their hand.  That would definitely make it more powerful though.  Especially with Gates   ;)

The first thing I'd like to confirm is if there is an easy way to get Doms out of your discard pile without touching the non-Doms.  I can't think of anything off the top of my head.  Sing and Praise is the closest offender I can come up with.

Also, a Dom like this would be more playable if Doms like Sorcery and Blasphemy existed   :D
