Jonah Tin

Hey guys, with some fabulous help from MasterQ, I present to you the one and only 12 card Jonah Tin! Without further ado, here are the cards:

Jonah
Spoiler (hover to show)
props to Master Q, with some directional prompting from my original card design, he came up with this wonderful version!
*Card edit- add to identifier *Jonah enters play as a Hero*

Jonah's Anger
Spoiler (hover to show)
Last night I sent some card names to Master Q, and this was one of them. I reworked the idea that he sent back into this more streamlined battle-winner

Pagan Sailors
Spoiler (hover to show)
This card took a while for me to work out a way of making it come to life, but when I focused in on the verse where they throw cargo overboard to make the boat lighter, I knew that toss would fit here like a glove. MasterQ's only input was that he really liked it! haha
*Card edit- rewording to *or you may toss all enhancements played this battle*

King of Nineveh
Spoiler (hover to show)
Rewording my original idea a bit using some wording from MasterQ's version of the King, this is the end result
*Card edit- identifier rewording to *Enters play as an evil character. If Jonah is in play, convert this to a hero after battle*

Shade Plant (Worm)
Spoiler (hover to show)
Wow, full props to Master Q! The ability and card design were all his idea, I just provided the name of the card and changed the numbers of Worm slightly

Thrown Overboard!
Spoiler (hover to show)
This card got some rave reviews before it was territory class!  ;D

Chastisement of the Lord
Spoiler (hover to show)
Thanks to MasterQ, this got redirected from a territory class placed enhancement to a more useful set aside
*Card edit, forgot to acknowledge illus. artist Jeff Haynie*

Great Fish
Spoiler (hover to show)
Yet another amazing card by MasterQ, except this time I only provided the card name, which changed from Large Fish to GREAT FISH! Seriously, this card is up there with Thrown Overboard! as my favourites in this tin! Well done MasterQ and thanks so much for letting me post it!

Nineveh
Spoiler (hover to show)
This was MasterQ's take on Nineveh, inspired by my original post. I chose it over mine because converting your evil Assyrians to draw the same amount is just an epic boost the Prophets would just love to have! Also, the brigades are more suitable.

Ninevites
Spoiler (hover to show)
Yet again, all I provided was the card name (well, citizens of Nineveh but still :B)

Ninevites Repent
Spoiler (hover to show)
This is Master Qs work on the title that I gave him, all I would do probably is up the defensive number by 1 to make it 3/2, and change the colour from white to black. But that is practically no change at all.
*Card edit- numbers changed to 3/2*

Boat to Tarshish
Spoiler (hover to show)
There's not really too much to say other than it just came to me out of no where at 5:30 in the morning! How about it, hey?

Overall I think we did a good job. Please comment your thoughts, likes about the cards, anything you would change etc. Thanks guys, your brother in Christ, Andy 8)

The worm is my favorite by far! I kinda like the fish, but I feel like it should do more. I also think that boat to tarshish should a negate the last card played and add 12/12. Overall, I love all these cards, especially the art. Nice job guys!

Thanks for the feedback Isaac, I'm glad you like what we did with these cards. Shade Plant/ Worm is awesome, and in a lot of ways is more useful than Great Fish, but I just like that Great Fish is an animal that becomes a fortress! I just think that is particularly really cool.

I actually think we could go a bit further with your suggestion for BtT and just have it negate a card. It saves space on the card, is more wide ranging, and you have to remove it from the game anyway to gain the effect.

Okay, here is Boat to Tarshish v2:

Boat to Tarshish (2.0)
Spoiler (hover to show)

It's got some similar attributes to Shade Plant/Worm, but has a completely different use. The purpose of this one is mainly to act as a counter to FBTN. I have also edited the original post to include v2 instead. What do you guys think?

A Purple king that can search deck or discard for Isaiah, add him to battle, D2, and play an enhancement is really really good.

I know, too good not to have a once per game clause.  ;)

I think for the Boat you really don't need the "negated or beaten by numbers" stipulation. I'd just make it "At any time you may discard this card to increase your human 12/12 and negate a card."

Although, you should probably just make it a fortress to be consistent with other watercraft in Redemption (i.e. Missionary Ship, Noah's Ark, Fishing Boat, Alexandrian Ship, etc.). If you do then you could make it a dual-alignment fortress that holds and protects humans, and if you want to keep the increase part you could increase humans held there 2/2 each turn they are there or something like that.

I'll see what I can come up with for a fortress version of BtT.

One thing I'd like to point out about one of the cards here is that it is probably a really difficult card to deal with without the fact that Moses can't touch him that easily. The card I'm talking about is Ninevites:

"Protect this character from special abilities on opponent's cards (except conversion). Cannot be negated if a Prophet is in battle."

 8)

Moses would not want to be blocked by a guy who is protected from his negate ability, and who is made cbn by the sheer fact that Moses is in battle, and who also has initiative to play an enhancement, like well, I don't know, my Jonah's Anger enhancement?:

"Negate and discard a good card in battle. Cannot be prevented."

I thought it was just a cool observation. It's good to dream I think

Okay, I updated Boat to Tarshish to a Fortress with a similar approach, but different. Still counters fbtn, but not a hard counter as such anymore. Anyway, here it is. Please tell me what you think? 8)
