Apocryphal cards.

The Book of Enoch. Artifact.

"Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael and all Genesis heroes may use Good Genesis enhancements of any brigade. If a lone Genesis prophet enters battle, you may discard The Book of Enoch to search your deck for New Beginning and play it, or a Silver brigade hero and band it into battle."
'Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him." These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.' Jude 1:14-16

Uriel 10/10 Warrior-class Silver hero: "If Tataros is in play, discard a card from your hand to place all demons in play, all draw piles, set asides, fortresses, and all discard piles in Tataros. If you do this and rescue attempt fails, relinquish control of your Tataros to your opponett and discard all of your Evil Characters in play".
Raphael 10/10 Warrior-class Silver hero: "Negate all special abilities on non-weapon class enhancements. No lost souls may be protected from rescue this turn."

Come on, if we can make heroes from angel wars names...

Well, this was more of a statement that if we can have Angel War cards, we should at least have the other two archangels.

What they should really do is make cards out of the Apostolic Fathers and use Eusebius as a reference. If we can cite Josephus for the Emperors, I see no reason why we couldn't use The History of the Church as a reference.

Think of it. Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Polycarp, James the Righteous... mmm. Great card possibilities. ;D

We have Saint Patrick.

Honestly though, having the four archangels would be SO MUCH FUN!

Perhaps there could be a way to get them to all work together, a kind of "hero-light".

Ben got it. Polycarp was a fairly useless Pokémon character from the beginnings of that CCG. I collected when I was little. ;)

Haha, shows how bad we are at Pokemon. After a quick wikipedia check I found Polycarp doesn't exist. Poliwag exists, Magikarp (the useless fish) exist, but there isn't a Polycarp.

I like your ideas Colin, but I would say that the Angel Wars cards should not have been made in the first place (the one's that are not biblical in origin) and that other cards that are not from the scriptures like St.Patrick and those based on non-biblical historians. The problem is that they were made, so does the game continue down that path or reverse direction? I think the Angel Wars thing was to attract younger players. The St.Patrick thing was done to attract Catholic players. And perhaps the non-biblical historian thing was done to attract people who don't consider the bible valid. Wow...at what point did I begin joking...LOL...I can't tell now...

Well Catholics consider the apocrypha scripture and Rob is Catholic so I dont see a big problem in using the intertestemental books.

I mean, I think it is better than St. Patrick but we already went there so...

So if we already went somewhere that perhaps we should have not then we can just continue going there? I am a little confused. Or are you saying it was no big deal then and it is still no big deal now?

Well, I'm not saying we should make an apocryphal "set". Printing the other two archangels is no where near this; I mean, we have Nero (who isn't specifically named in the Bible but appears none the less).

I think both (some of) the Apocrypha and the Early Church Fathers could lead to some interesting cards. If we were voting, I would probably side with T-Lah and go with the early church fathers, although adding a WC Macabee or two would be fun.

I get it.  Carp.  Ha.

There was no other reference intended. It was late and I was being silly.

The extended "haha..." was a sardonic jibe at myself for being so goofy.

"Sardonic Jibe" would be a good name for a band.

In my opinion, cards should be printed from the Book of Enoch. However, I don't think the book itself should be a card.

Philistine giants would get a real boost, too!

lol, fail for me. Poliwag does evolve into Magikarp, though, right? Am I at least slightly justified in the conflation of the two? :P

Ummmm...... no.

Poliwag -> Poliwhirl -> Poliwrath (or Politoed, your choice)

Magikarp -> Gyarados

Poliwhirl needs a King's Rock to become Politoed. Poliwhirl becomes Poliwrath at level 25, otherwise. Magikarp becomes Gyarados at level 20.

The 40-year-old recites the exact evolution line of two Pokemon and you're the one who lost dignity?

A 40-year-old dad of an 11-year-old Pokemon fan. When you become a dad, you will find that you will learn many seemingly trivial facts that will further the father/son dialogue. Likewise, father/daughter dialogue is currently enhanced by the fact that I know the words and hand motions to every Barney, Wiggles, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Dora the Explorer song.
