Please note that this is by no means a final product and would require a group of smart people to create (with minor input from me).
1.) Players bring their own decks with existing Redemption cards. The decks (maybe) only include heroes with appropriate enhancements, dominants, artifacts and fortresses. Decks would also include Lost Souls. 2.) The Antagonist Deck would be pre-constructed and include evil characters, enhancements, dominants and artifacts. These cards would be marked somehow so as not be used in normal tournament play. This is because they would be considerably stronger than normal to provide a challenge for multiple teamwork players. 3.) There would be a difficulty level indicator/card that would add buffs for the Antagonist's cards. For example: Level 1 - Cards remain as written. Level 2 - All cards gain cannot be interrupted. Level 3 - All cards cannot be protected against. Level 4 - All cards cannot be negated or protected against. 4.) There would be a designated prison camp where all defeated/discarded heroes and Lost Souls go to throughout the game. This would represent the losing condition for the players. If 30 cards are in prison then it is game over. 5.) Players would be rescuing Lost Souls, which are placed in a common area when drawn. Any player can rescue any Lost Soul by defeating the Antagonists' evil characters. The winning condition for the players is when EACH player has rescued a preset number of LSs. There is not a running total for the group (to avoid one player taking over the game). 6.) Any player cards that target an "opponent" always target the Antagonist. Antagonist cards that target a singular hero/player, the hero/player is chosen by the group. Some cards will target "all players" or "all heroes." 7.) The design of the Antagonist deck will encourage players to think outside the box and maybe use cards that are not used as often. The deck will have powerful and destructive cards. This is a staple for cooperative games in order to offset the combined power of the players. The players will usually need to work and strategize together in order to win. **This is all subject to change and improvement. I just wanted to give the gist of the idea.** 3

Co-op games are been really popular for a long time now. They hit mainstream with "Shadows Over Camelot" and "Pandemic" decades ago. But they keep coming out each year, and many players prefer working together with their playgroup to trying to defeat them.
I think it would be possible to create such a game using Redemption cards, and would be willing to help out with designing such a project. 5

![]() For those who have already heard about cooperative games, I was trying to explain the idea of having a stand alone cooperative game that uses Redemption cards. In my opinion, I think Disney Lorcana did this very well with the "Illumineer's Quest" product. The idea is to create a special deck for a universal antagonist that several players join forces against. The deck would have special rules and an autonomous game mechanic so that no additional human has to be playing against the others. The special deck could be a separately sold product or perhaps even a print-n-play download. This would not be a separate category for tournaments, but rather an alternative for families that are not interested in competitive play. Just food for thought. ![]() 6
Unofficial Tournaments / Cooperative Format Thinktank!!!« Last post by MrMiYoda on June 22, 2026, 02:46:21 PM »I have never heard of this concept till a few minutes ago. Never even had this as a semi (not total) 'concept name' for DnD when it was launched in the late 70's.
Can we do this for Redemption at all? I think so! I pray and declare our Redemption geniuses invent this category soon for one of our Redemption legends (anonymous) to enjoy & start playing d game again. Shud this future category be launched one day in Redemption, u cud see this old man play it till his last breath.... Per My Research: "Cooperative games—often called "co-op"—are multiplayer games where players work together as a team to achieve a common goal rather than competing against each other. The group either wins or loses as a single entity, emphasizing camaraderie, shared strategy, and pooled resources over individual achievement. Unlike traditional games where players try to beat one another, co-op games are usually structured as "players versus the game"." Here is a useful vid shared with us by one of our legendary champs as he makes a homecoming to Redemption: https://youtu.be/eiDA8pknv5o?is=Wa9rkNXUcfmmswqj --- THINKTANK....NOW!!! 7

I haven’t played in 20 years but was thinking of getting back into it or selling my collection. I have about 5,600 cards and some that were super cool back in the day.
