Thematically, I like the concept of cooperative Redemption - working together to save Lost Souls feels very "right."
Mechanically, I think it's an uphill battle trying to take what's good about Redemption and port it over to a cooperative format. What I loved about it when I played was the mind games, the planning for the unknown, the back-and-forth of a battle. With no one controlling an opponent, I feel like a lot of the highlights of Redemption play would be difficult to replicate.
That's why I think this would be best not as a gameplay format using existing cards, but a full spinoff. Besides the Lorcana game mode that YMT mentioned above, there are a few existing "Living Card Games" that are designed for cooperative play. (For those who don't know, Living Card Games are customizable like CCGs but with each purchasable set containing a fixed, knowable set of cards.)
A Redemption-esque cooperative Living Card Game may be doable with a lot of work, but I sure can't speak for whether that's something Cactus would want to commit the resources towards.
Some that I'm aware of, for inspiration (although I've never played them):
