You don't need tablets of the law and storehouse in the same deck: I'd recommend dropping TotL.

A good starting point for updating your deck would be the Foof and RoA expansion Tins.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

You'll find a very nice boost to Red and Assyrieans.

A good starting point for updating your deck would be the Foof and RoA expansion Tins.

This. Tin 21 has Assyrian Siege Army & Survivor, both of which are extremely powerful cards. Also, Razor and Siegeworks (the dual enhancements in that tin) can be used in a deck like this, but work better if you're also running Isaiah. Tin 25 has Ahimelek, Ishmaiah, and Uriah, all of which are pretty beast red heroes. Bravery of David is... ouch and Foreign Sword is beast if used right.

If you have or can get a hold of Chariots of Fire, it is usually better to have than David's Harp (especially with banding). A couple of your enhancements can come out, closer to a 1:1 ratio is better. Glittering spear can be replaced by Two Thousand Horses (giving you initiative, instead of your opponent). King Sargon II may be more useful than Shalmaneser V, as he can pull out Camp more quickly. Assyria's tribute would be nice. (In case you haven't noticed, I know a lot more about pale green defenses than red offenses  ;))
I do feel inclined to point out that (especially with the new tins) red goes best with black and pale green goes best with green, but this could work out well too.
ANB is good. Change my mind.
