I just trashed my Angel / Genesis / Assyrian deck after 6 years and I am making a garden tomb deck with a pg magician defense any helps?

Well, make sure it has TGT and at least one TGT hero.

You should probably include at least Mary, Mother of James, Salome, Mary Magdalene and Joanna for the CBN band (and their respective cool abilities). I personally also use John (the starter deck one that negates evil character abilities) since he's purple and can use AoCP.

I can't really help with the magician defense as apparently I suck at building defenses, but definitely use Magic Charms and Divination.

I would go back to blue/silver with palegreen/crimson defense with a spash of Brown (King Manasseh (Di) )

purple and white. Except use like Mary Mother of James, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Salome, John, James son of Zebedee, Matthew, Susanna, Ethiopian Treasurer. Great Faith, Aoc (regular), Sons of Thunder, He Is Risen, Words of Encouragement, Reach of Despiration, and then you have yourself a deck

You could also make it smaller if you want to.

Benedictus is a must with all the new sites. If you go with purple I would also throw in faith as a mustard seed.

Actually love sights and also like the TGT. However, for TGT to be effective you must be able to clear your opponent's territory; which the new sites make it very difficult to do. I was actually kind of sad to see site-lock fall by the wayside thanks to fishing boat.
