LOL, RED, you need to be a little more constructive than that.

Jathen, there are a few problems with your deck.
1) One of the best things about Type 2 is that you can use multiples in your deck. For example, you can have 5 characters and enhancements (as long as they aren't multicolored) in a 100 card deck. Therefore instead of 1 per 50 (Type 1), you can have 5 per 100 or 1 per 20. Better odds to get your better cards or focus on certain strategies. If you don't have multiples, I would suggest just sticking to Type 1 for now. Because your deck is currently Type 1 legal.

2) Way too many colors. Typically, you want to focus on 1 or 2 Good colors and 1 or 2 evil colors. Less colors = better chance to match Characters and Enhancements. Especially in a 100+ card deck. The best example is that you have one Red Hero (Soldier of God) and one Red Enhancement (Wheel Within A Wheel). If you drew one of these in your opening hand, you have about a 3.4% chance to get the other one each following draw. That means, if you fight for 15 turns, you have a 51% to get both of these cards together, and that's only if you get one in your opening hand. So, every other game, you MIGHT get these cards together (half of the time) if you can survive for 15 turns. In other words, that's not very good. That's why, you see most decks with 12-14 characters and 15-17 enhancements of that same color. Or if they use 2 colors, you will typically see 7-9 characters with 8-12 enhancements and 4-6 characters with 5-8 enhancements. That way the percentages are much better and you can match your characters/enhancements much easier.

3) Check out [urlhttp://www.freewebs.com/redemptionne/]Wild Card[/url] to see previous National winning Type 2 decks for some ideas.

If you have any questions, let me know or just post them here and people will respond to them.

Thanks for your input. Two questions then. If I reduce my brigade numbers (especially for the evil characters), then what should I do with three-character-banding combos like my panic demons? For the other question, Do you think this would do better as a type one?

It's a little tough to see with your cards, but do you have the G and H decks? Do you have any other starters? Do you have multiples of any "good" cards, like Authority of Christ, Syrian Victory, or Household Idols?

I have doubles of the syrian victory, I do have the G and H decks. I am starting to think this will make a much better Type one deck.

Yeah, I would just make it Purple/Silver/Black/Gray Type 1 for now.

Hey,

I've removed all Brigades except Purple, Black, Silver and Grey (with the exception of Lydia, Jacob and Zacheuss). I was also hoping that this thread could be transfered to the Type One Deck Advise Area. Any other thoughts?
