Deck Advice

So its a bit late to be posting this, but just wanted people's advice on it before the new cards come out.  Very limited testing, but has done very well when used (has only lost to #mayhem piloted by Gabe). Feel like reserve could use some work, would like to have more to get out of there with leviathan (only used half the cards in it at best, maybe behemoth to reserve or put in jobs wife?).  also would like a better way than cov prayer to eternal cov to get back david or Ahimelek, since they play such a big part in the deck.  also wondering if grapes is the best choice, could be mayhem maybe? any advice is welcome

The offense is too focused on Ahimilek which leaves you vulnerable if an opponent figures that out and deals with him. Jehu can serve as a pseudo Ahimilek but is much more situational. I recommend also adding Abe’s Army to help shore up that vulnerability. If not that, then make the offense less reliant on banding in Ahimilek.

I agree that it does need to get away from Ahimilek, how does abes army make the deck less reliant on Ahimilek?  If I had a capture defense sure, there is no reliable capture in the deck to make sure I can use his ability (unholy writ gets 3W most of the time and ive never used captured princes, in there mostly if I need a soul to resuce)

AA is an alternative to Ahimilek if they can shut Ahimilek down. Between Writ (which can be used on your own guys before they can switch 3W targets to ensure AA works), Captive Princes and King Amazing combo I see 3 capture options to ensure AA works. That might require an adjustment to your play style if you never go to CP right now. It might even mean moving it to the deck and/or adding another capture option.

None of this helps you move away from an Ahimilek focused offense. It lets you keep that offense and shore up the weakness of being too reliant on one specific card.

what would you recommend taking out for AA? everything I can think to take out would make AA less useful (like caleb, unified language, or not alone).  maybe cut consul of Abigail, but I would miss its versatility.  or maybe put AA in reserve?  much easier to cut cards from there, but then I cant use captive princes and AA since cov w/prayer is my only way to both of them

Maybe AotW. He seems like the weakest link. That made me realize that you lack I Am Creator though. I'd cut TEotE for that which made me realize your LS selection lacks soul gen. But I'm just slowly turning your deck into #Mayhem now...

Ha, yea its close to it as is.  It probably is that making this better will turn it into #mayhem since they have most the same offence and a few similarities on defense.  I've never been a fan of I Am Creator (I know I'm in the minority on this, I will accept your boooo's) I would rather have AotW in place of it, as it works the whole game, no just with empty territory.  since I don't have a ton of soul gen I kinda need ends, and since I want NT LS's (I finally got an imitate and want to use it!) I cant run covet for LS gen.

FTR I don't like IaC either and painfully choose to put it in a deck. But when it's the best option, it's the best option and there's no denying it despite my taste. First turn it gets you AUTO which AotW will not do. Later in the game it's food for Uzzah and "Prosperity". On a rare occasion it even gets played for numbers or discarded to a "matching brigade" ability. AotW cannot do any of that. He's just a dead card late game when you've drawn all your Heroes.

start of game angel still gets me Samuel, middle of the game he gets everything else that creator doesn't.  end game creator is better for uzzah sure, but how can prosperity discard creator? you would have to get it back in hand when you draw prosperity, and if anything angel has a better chance of that since it can shuffle itself back into deck.  there are times when creator is definitely better than angel, but I still believe angel to be the more consistent option
