Another Mill Deck!

I've always been a fan of this deck archetype in other games. While Redemption does not have the "If your opponent runs out of cards, he loses" win condition, but this deck type is still really interesting in this game. Here's another deck that I've built with this theme:

Dominants
SoG
New Jerusalem
Angel of the Lord
Christian Martyr
Burial
Falling Away

Lost Souls:
Rejoice
Shuffler
Three-Liner
Site Doubler
Speed Bump
NT Only
Deck Discard

Fortresses and Sites:
House In Bethany
Pharaoh's Prison
Mildewed House

Artifact:
Samaritan Water Jar

Heroes:
The Woman At The Well
Zaccheus
Seeker of the Lost (Persecuted Church)
Mary of Bethany
Watchful Servant
Lazarus
Good Samaritan
Martha (TexP)
The Generous Widow

Good Enhancements:
Kindess (Disciples)
Convincing Miracle
Trumpets and Torches (Originally had "Shibboleth" here, but decided against it)
Hospitality of Martha
Repentance and Restitution
The Prodigal Returns
Fishers of Men
Meeting the Messiah

Evil Characters:
Evil Spirit (Second Edition)
Panic Demon (Evil Gold, Angel Wars)
King Shishak
Queen Tahpenes
Egyptian Horsemen
Potiphar
Taskmaster
Salome (TexP)

Evil Enhancements:
Beheaded
Enslaved By Egypt
Moses kills Egyptian
Pagan Sacrifices
Rash Oath
Given Over to Egypt
Begging to go Back
Stormy Seas

I really like how this deck turned out, but I think the defense needs a little work. What should I do to tweak this deck?

Needs Pithom.

Since you're only at 6 dominants, I could see adding The Holy Spirit and a couple fruits so you have "free" discards with The Generous Widow (i.e. discard the fruits and get them right back).

I was typing something up for this earlier but apparently it didn't actually post, haha.

I was going to recommend Pithom also, and probably Given Over to Egypt as it's a great mill card for Egyptian defenses (and Pithom can hold it!).

another thing i've seen go great with this is warrior's spear/spy i think that agrippa the I with herod's sword is a no brainer here along with egyptian horseman and huge egyptian maybe salome (more dc top) also wash basin is great with given over to egypt especially after you vain their sog then top deck it with warrior's spear or given over to egypt after wash basin puts it on top i also like using a bigger deck with this type of deck which allows for sites which can be a lot of fun now that shrine is around with sites + hand discard and deck discard ls combine that with demons and you can sss and twice afflicted 4 cards right there. i'm excited for the pc card stormy seas for this reason

Wash Basin is another must add for a mill deck. It mills evil from the bottom and stacks good or neutral cards on their deck that you may want to discard.

King of Tyrus (WA) should probably go in. He doesn't do the milling, but you also need ways to block. If you hit the right cards with the milling, he will be a tough EC for your opponent to overcome.

Wash Basin should absolutely go in since Given Over gets activated on Pithom and Water Jar is a one time use so your art slot is free. Basin probably stays active the entire game other than one turn for Water Jar.

I also absolutely agree with Spy/Warrior's Spear. Mary of Bethany and The Prodigal Returns could be cut for those.

I agree with the suggestions above. A few years ago I played a deck like this and it was really fun.

I had a very different style of offense. I used a green prophet with Hidden Treasures can pull and EE from their deck too, but more importantly it let me play ANB after my opponent decked out for even more milling fun. It also used Gabriel (wa).

I tried a Mill deck a few months back that went this route instead of the good Gold/evil Gold route.  It had great success at milling, but poor success at getting to 5 redeemed souls before the opponent  :(  It was Green/Silver/Magicians, and used a lot of cards that put multiple opponent's cards back in their deck to increase the milling fun.  Such as:

Scattered
Cherubim/Daniel/Gabriel (Ki)   (Puts their evil Doms on deck, then Gabe shuffles them away when he discards an evil enhancement)
Hypocrisy   (I used Hur or Mayhem to shuffle away their heroes)
Words of Discouragement
Invoking Terror
Wickedness Removed (an awesome milling/soul gen card that doesn't get used because it's difficult to play.  Best if played on Cherubim  ;) )

I also used Hidden Treasures for discarding EEs with my prophets, or playing OoN preblock with Joseph (I also put the Damsel/RBD combo in).  Wickedness Removed was also a good one to play preblock.  I used territory destruction with Holy Grail and Magic Charms.  And lastly, I included the Am Slave/Nebby/DtT combo, as well as Confusion, to snipe their SoG.  Good times...

The offense I used only had 2 good Enhancements - ANB and Warrior's Spear. Hopefully you discard some of their ECs with your milling. But since you can't rely on that I also used Holy Grail, Ark of the Covenant, Jephthah, Habakkuk, AotL and Grapes. Between all of those you can remove several ECs without ever playing an Enhancement.

I also used Lampstand to protect Chariot which is needed to recycle the Heroes. If you wanted to go this route it seems like I am Patience would work with the Spy(+Warriors Spear). The Grail is also fun to use to convert Huge Egyptian with Egyptian Spear for double discard every attack. With huge numbers from the name on name bonus he can be difficult to stop sometimes.

I stopped playing this deck though because it's tantamount to John Earley's National winning deck for the level of fun it creates for the opponent.
