Large Defense Idea.

So, we all know Sam, Gardendisciples, and Genesis are all really strong and hard to stop. I've been trying think of some ways to slow these and other offensive heavy decks down. Here is a basic outline of what I have in mind:

1. Use GoS and the Brown Israelite kings with Samarias to stop lower heroes
2. Incorporate a few Canaanites for Gib curse Wrath of Satan & Stone of Thebez
3. Use Simon the Magician for Charms and a way to make Stone and Wrath CBN
4. Splash in a couple assyrians like archer and Survivor to play Confusion, and ASA to stop access sites. 2k Horses and Forgotten history for another way to win battles. king Manny would be a must to play both Brown and PG along with access to charms.
5. Include other battle extenders (UN), protect forts and, Speed stoppers like Pigs LS and RBD.

It might not be very effective and it's only in the planning stage right now. Any thoughts?

With three brigades, it may be a bit spread out.  I'd focus at two at the most.  Right now the best mid-to-large defense is Israelite Kings, so focus on them.  Manny is dual brigade, and can hold Charms, so he's a worthwhile investment.  If you're planning on stopping site access, Assyrians are your best help right now.  Wrath and Stone are nice, but not worth the bulkiness of a Black splash.

The problem is the offense. You MUST have a 63 card deck in order for it to be fast enough.

That's my take on it. Basically everything you mentioned minus the canaanites, but getting rid of SoG is too iffy to devote so many cards to it.

One of the main reasons I wanted black (other than the CBNs) is Gibeonite Curse to remove SoG/NJ/AoTL from my opponents deck. Plus, they mix decently well with Israelite kings. However, they dont add that much more, so I'll drop them. The PG adds Confusion which can do the same thing. I like the fact that ASA can stop access, but there are so many common counters to sites (Mayhem, TAS, Hopper, ect.), that I didn't want that to be my main strategy. But being to spread out was one of my main concerns.

You'll want Assyrians more for DoU than Confusion.  Shuffle all your Samaria sites in (4 at the most), and re-use them all.

What would you use to get rid of those things that protect hands and decks, like Jerusalem Tower and Nazareth?

Those could be a problem, but Breaking Jerusalem's Wall ASA and Razor can discard sites/Forts.

A 70 card Heroless deck went undeafeated last night. Beat a couple speed decks. It was tough.

At nats people will intentionally time out against it. Heavy defense decks are better with 70, but the timelimit kills them.

I'm not sure. Fast decks can deck out quickly and once they do they can't really play slow. I don't think Nathan timed out with his 154 card deck at the Rochester tournament. You'll probably see the Heroless at State or Regionals.

It also didn't place. It did great against RLKs, and it beat me (though I may have been able to beat it had I played it right), but in the end, it lost (due to a Mayhem, I think. And technically his was balanced, not defensive heavy, so it can get by the time.

Heroless doesn't really work in the normal meta. On RTS and in ROOT, I'd argue that 154 card heroless decks are the absolute strongest available, but they obviously time out. I think the only 70 card offense-lite deck that could be competitive would be Isaiah, due to all the searching to get heroes out quickly. I Am Creator wouldn't be a bad add here, especially with Chariots and Obadiah's Caves. You could theoretically get away with a 15 card offense in a 70 card deck, including support cards, and make it pretty strong. DoU and ANB to shuffle your Samarias, along with Threatened Lives. In my 154 card deck, I keep it to Brown/PG, with a few Magicians splashed in for good measure.
