It doesn't have to say "and its contents" since placed cards follow the host. DoU, Abraham's Descendant, Nathan banded in or used in a side-battle, Threatened Lives, ANB, and probably other cards can be used with Golgotha to get EE's and Curses back.

can you give me an example?

I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

you mean like with Nathan shuffling away a 1/2 used curse?  what about with Golgotha, how would you get that enhancement if it's placed on Golgotha and then returned to the location it came from at end of turn?

RA with Nathan in territory to begin battle phase.  Search discard pile for EE or Curse, and place it on Golgatha.  Band in Nathan (or side battle) to activate his SA, shuffling the card placed on Golgatha.

It's the same with any of the other examples I listed.

You said rescue with Nathan and then later said band him in. What do you mean? Could someone argue that Nathan's ability activates before you could use Golgotha's ability?

RA, whilst Nathan in your territory, to begin battle phase.  Search discard pile for EE or Curse, and place it on Golgatha.  Band in Nathan (or side battle) to activate his SA, shuffling the card placed on Golgatha.

Here's a question, fortresses play to your territory unless stated otherwise; if you have Tartaros in play with some demons in there and you block with Elymas (apostles) - can you discard one of your demons in Tartaros to use to Elymas' ability to discard a hero in your opponents' territories and return that demon to Tartaros because of it's special ability?

It does, as the battle phase starts with his entering, and Golgatha doesn't interrupt.

Gotta read carefully when prepositions are involved. Actually, considering the third sentence, that shouldn't have been misread.

No, for two reasons. First, Tartaros has been errata'd to go to set-aside. Second, I believe it's an instead ability even though it doesn't have instead wording, and the new ruling on insteading costs means you don't get the benefit.

+1 for using whilst.

Polarius is correct on all counts.
