Is Zeb's ability on going or is it instant?

So I RA with Zeb opponent blocks, I play cards which reduce my hand... Once my hand is reduced below the toughness of the evil character (and subsequent enhancements?) do I ignore that evil character?

Ignore is an ongoing ability, and its check is continuous.  If your hand size changes during battle, then the characters ignored by Zebulun can change, too.
