Can you use Zadok Anoints Solomon to search your deck for Brass Serpent?
I'm asking this because the physical card (Brass Serpent) doesn't have a reference.

Old Testament and New Testament are determined by when they happened, for example: The Roman Emperors have Josephus references (for the most part Augustus is Luke) but they are New Testament, just like Antiochus IV Epiphanes is Old Testament, even though he also has a Josephus reference.

So Brass Serpent would be Old Testament.

ChristianSoldier and KoalaKing are both correct. The divide between O.T. and N.T is the birth of Christ (and related events/people), as that is the first chronologically significant event in the N.T. Antiochus was around after the historical events of the O.T., but before the birth of Christ, which is why he is OT.

So even without references, the older promos are still considered O.T./N.T. based on where they are from chronologically. Thus AoCP is still an NT card, even if it does not have a Matthew reference.

When I was talking to RDT at Nats he also explained that Samuel can band to King David because King David is actually supposed to have a 1 Sam reference (even though it doesn't actually have one on the card, it's been corrected by REG. the part for AoCP is that it can easily have a reference from any of the gospels even though the original is a Matt reference, the new could easily be from Mark, John, Luke, Revelation, etc. so it has no specific reference)

RDT and I had that discussion at Nats as well, (likely after your conversation) and I was able to persuade him that he was incorrect. The REG verse "corrections" should not be there, (I thought they were removed? I guess not.) It would make no sense for King David to be a I Samuel Hero, since David didn't become King until II Samuel.

Then wouldn't there be a good arguement that all Promos can't be used for Searching/Banding if the search/band defines a book?

Well, that throws out a lot of Promos I would have used.
