I'm kind of confused on how it takes so long to make rulings on cards.  I'm pretty sure these cards are created and a few different players look over the SAs and find out possible problems.  It's crazy to see a 12page thread about a card that the ruling should have already been in place.  Doesn't that seem weird to anyone else?  I can understand some strange combo or something that wasn't easy to spot, but some of these cards rulings are the first question you'd think about the card.  Why not just release the cards offically and on the same day release all the new rulings for the cards.

They were in place, but the playtesters didn't realize something, and now have to reconsider it.

Plain and simple, some things just get missed and overlooked. This is one of the challenges that comes with releasing a new set of cards every year (which no one seems to complain about). Another challenge comes in that the playtest team doesn't always get to test against each other, but rather with a small group within their playgroup. As a result, sometimes cards are interpreted differently (and thus the cards get played differently) by different playtesters without each one realizing it.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

I think that Rochester, NY is much better suited for playtesting.

Just seems weird that sometimes there isn't a ruling.  It's not bad to have to change a ruling, but to sometimes not even have a way to play some combos is weird.

It would be better to just have a quick discussion with the PTB and come up with something fast.  And tweak it later and change it if you have to.

One of the other problems is that even when most of the playtesters agree to a ruling or errata, in order to make it official, we need Rob's approval. And Rob is a busy guy, so he doesn't come on as often as we'd like him to. It's just the way things kind of have to be for a small-market CCG mostly run by one guy and a handful of volunteers to help him.

Isn't that why we created the elder system?

Professor A is cutting pretty close to the root of the problem while still being cautious. Well played.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
