I'm 99% of the answer, but can Holy Grail be used in the battle phase to convert a blocking EC, OR must it be used when activated?

It can only convert an EC in territory.

Holy Grail was given an errata:

Errata: Holder may convert a human Evil Character in a territory to a Hero in brigade of holder's choice once per turn. May be used twice per game.

However, you may convert the EC at any time during your turn.

Yes, it is a great resource when the REG is SOOOOOOOOO slow.

Yeah, i'm just too speedy ;D And i was just messing around, i knew you didn't miss it on purpose (hopefully)
