Played it as an evil card, does the blue brigade still count for the punisher lost soul?

In game and stuff.

No.  It is no longer a good card, cannot be targeted as such, and has no good brigades.

It cannot be targeted as a good card, but I don't believe it actually ever loses the brigade.

How does an evil card have a good brigade?
Not quite a ghost...but not quite not.

Saul when converted and played as Paul is no longer Gray brigade, even though he is printed with that brigade on the card and is both good-and-evil in hand, deck, and discard.  The same logic follows for all dual-alignment cards.

The difference is that a specific ability is causing the change with Saul, and that's not the case with dual-alignment cards. The same logic might apply, but it doesn't necessarily.

The rules for DAE state that they are both until they are played, at which point they are only the alignment which they were played as.

A good card cannot have evil brigades.  An evil card cannot have good brigades.

So if we accept that DAE cannot be both good and evil once played, it follows (through the rules) that they are no longer the brigade of the opposing alignment.

HOWEVER.  I do think an Elder posting is needed to confirm ;)

I agree that this should be the case, though I am not certain if it has been defined this way or not. I would have to rule that this is correct.
