I think so...But then again, I am the one who wants to keep y our capture heros instead of giving them back to you...for now

The ability does not include "may" or any wording allowing choice, so they are always released instead of giving a soul.

That is how we played it.

I was flirting with the idea that I give him half of a three liner but we decided to play it as if it were a mandatory ability
