Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Green • Ability: 7 / 6 • Class: None • Special Ability: If you have not played Son of God this game, protect Simeon from discard. May band to a N.T. prophet. Cannot be negated by an evil card.

Emperor Galba (FF)
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Gray • Ability: 10 / 1 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability: Each opponent must discard a card from hand. You may search deck or discard pile for Rome and put it in play. • Play As: Each opponent must discard a card from hand. You may search your deck or discard pile for Rome and place it in play

Could a Simeon in hand be used to satisfy the discard on Galba if Son of God has not been played and a Simeon is in battle?

Plus the card states that Simeon is protected so the one in battle also protects the one in your hand.

I found this in the REG.

I take that to mean that Simeon's protection only applies to the Simeon that's in battle with the ability active.
