Final Verdict on Ignoring from Territory...

I recall a recent thread about playing Reuben's Torn Clothes to make the heroes in that player's territory ignore a certain brigade, even if there was no genesis hero in battle. I believe the ruling was yes, this is legal, but there was a debate about it in which was discussed the implications this would have on TGT. So, what is the final verdict on this? Can heroes ignore from territory? If so, does TGT need an errata?

Rob's ruling here says that is not allowed, and thank goodness for that.

So if I have TGT out with John in territory he can't be hurt by evil brigades with less than two characters in play... but as long as John isn't in battle those characters may still be in battle... is this correct???
Gates of Hell is by far the best card in the game.  No questions asked.

so this gives your tgt heroes protection until the fortress ability is negated.  is it just me, or do these cards keep getting more powerful?

It always did that, nothing's making the card more powerful. In fact, the alternate path, which many people including me were worried about, was that John et al would stop characters from blocking even if John is in territory and someone else, say Jephthah, is attacking. That'd be "no good" to the extreme.

Looking at it from a protection stand point, is this somethign that the new panic demon would negate?  is that a way to effect TGT heros in territory without destroying the fort?
