Experience Credit v Silly Women/Angel w/Secret Name

When Silly Women or Angel with the Secret Name get experience credit, does their total then increase 1/1, or are their abilities always equal to their identifier?

If their total increases, would a converted Silly Women stay alive if she used AoC in battle, then gained that lovely experience credit (1/1)?

Abilities for characters with */* become *+1/*+1 if they have one battle's worth of experience credit.

If Silly Women became 0/0 by killing all EC's with an AoC, then gained 1/1 through exp. credit, she would return to territory as a 1/1 hero.
