A Better Understanding

I got a couple questions.

1st one.  I start a Rescue Attempt with Zechariah then my opponent blocks with a high number orange character, I get initiative to play Plague of Frogs, can my opponent play Pride in Position to get rid of Plague of Frogs?

2nd one. How do you play Ignore?  What I know is you play an Ignore card and your opponent can't harm your hero in any way but he still play enhancements.

So can his evil character die by numbers?

Can I play enhancements?

When you answer can you give me the reference from the rule book or REG for why you think that?

Zechariah

Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Teal/Green • Ability: 5 / 6 • Class: None • Special Ability: Zechariah may use good Enhancements with a Zechariah reference, regardless of brigade. Negate the special abilities on N.T. Enhancements. • Attributes: Prophet, Zurubbabel's Temple Priest • Identifiers: OT Male Human, Prophet, Zerubbabel's Temple Priest • Verse: Zechariah 1:1 • Availability: Rock of Ages (Set 13)

Plague of Frogs

Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Green • Ability: 2 / 2 • Class: none • Special Ability: Regardless of immunity return an evil character in play to owner’s draw pile. Shuffle draw pile. • Identifiers: OT, Based on Prophecy, Plague • Verse: Exodus 8:6 • Availability: G Deck

Pride in Position

Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Orange • Ability: X / X • Class: None • Special Ability: Interrupt the battle and place up to X good Enhancements from play beneath owner’s draw pile. • Identifiers: NT, X = the number of opponent’s Redeemed Souls • Verse: Matthew 23:12 • Availability: Priests booster packs (Common)

No.  The interrupt ability on Pride in Position is prevented by Zechariah's negate ability.

1. Of course. When you are being removed by a special ability, you have initiative to interrupt and/or negate.

EDIT: I totally forgot that Zechariah had that ability...

2. Ignore is this: The evil character will return to battle at the end of the battle, and his endless initiative to play an enhancement, but if nothing negates the ignore, then the hero will win a ls at the end of the battle.

Yes, you are defeating them in the battle by shuffling him into your opponents deck. That means they have initiative to play an interrupt or negate. Pride in Position interrupts it and is can move it to the bottom of your deck, where it cannot activate.

EDIT: I lost to Sk :(

Yes, he can still play enhancements. It means he can't harm any heroes ignoring him. Also, if your being ignored you cannot enter battle, but if your already in that doesn't matter :p

1. Nope
2. Ignore is just going past the Evil Character to rescue a Lost Soul. You are confused with Immune.

Huh, didn't see the second question...

Try this REG passage: Ignore.
Quote
Ignore is a special ability that protects a card from being defeated, harmed, or affected by the ignored card. It also prevents the card with ignore from harming or affecting the ignored card. An ignore card stops an ignored character from entering the Field of Battle. An ignore ability can be a successful blocking or rescuing card. Ignore is the same as “has no effect” and repel.

The ignored character has infinite initiative to play enhancements, as the character doing the ignoring is no longer losing the battle, however, the enhancements cannot affect the ignoring card.  As for resolution, a character being ignored is as if not in battle (think repel).  They don't lose by the numbers, but are just returned to territory, and the hero wins the battle.

Thanks for all the help!

But I do have one more question...

with a card like Forgotten History what does "The battle immediately ends" mean?  Does it mean the battle automatically end in a stalemate or does it go right to the resolution part of battle?

Forgotten History

Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Pale Green • Ability: 0 / 4 • Class: None • Special Ability: Select up to four cards from one opponent’s discard pile and remove them from the game. The battle immediately ends. Cannot be negated • Identifiers: None • Verse: Psalms 106:13 • Availability: Priests booster packs (Common)

The battle immediately goes into resolution. So if King Saul (10/10) attacks and Doeg (6/6) blocks and plays Forgotten History, the Heroes win.
