I'm glad you said "gold" and not "Egyptian," since it won't work for Egyptians.  ;)

Ruling question!

If someone has the protect sites card out, and I use axe to try to discard his fortress, since his sites are protected he must discard his fortress, yes?

Nice.......this is gonna be fun.
Since we have a new White and Purple site known to us, I would guess the next three to be -
1 - Red
2 - Green
3 - Blue
I don't think Silver or Teal fit well with the partial something something hint. Gold would be my alternate pick to Blue.
Just my quick thoughts and guesses.  ;D

I want to clarify something now that was brought up when Kir and Herod's Dungeon were made: Do sites need to have Lost Souls in them to work? The current REG says yes, but I'm not sure about Duke nuk - er, the new REG. That would add some pleasant strategy to the game, but at the same time, I want to be able to use Golgotha AS EASILY AS POSSIBLE. I am SICK of TGT SO MUCH.

Also, I have to say, if another year went by without serious counters to TGT, I was considering taking a break from the game. This has appeased me, at least as long as TGT does not get any more cheap tricks.

And I am going to guess that "Ca..." is Capernaum, and thus is probably red (Centurion), which if true probably means that Red will get some site-clinching power in this set. (Or it might be Blue or Gold, as those are the only good brigades I can think of with cards that affect opponents' sites (Jacob's Dream and Vengeance of Eternal Fire).)

This article was spoilerific. It was definitely worth the wait. :)

The current REG is wrong.

Multi-color sites only work in battle.
Single color sites only work in territory.

Neither has an "occupied" requirement to work.  :)

Quote from: article
With Golgotha and Ca..., er, that other new site, players who use N.T. evil characters will have little to fear from ignore abilities.
I am going to guess that Ca... is either short for Calvary (because that would fit with Golgotha as the other name for the place where Jesus died).

I'll leave you with a little game.  See if you can guess the brigade colors on these site previews.  One further clue: all the sites in The Disciples set are different brigades.  For an extra challenge, see if you can figure out the references and the site titles for the first two cards.:

Guess my title Korazin
guess-my-color Site Gold
SPECIAL ABILITY: Protect [ECs] from conversion.  Something else.
SCRIPTURE:  [For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon,] they would have repented [long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.] Luke 10:13

Guess my title Nazareth
guess-my-color Site Green
SPECIAL ABILITY: Protect [ECs] from shuffle by an opponent. Protect [opponent's deck] from search abilities.
SCRIPTURE: something something A prophet is not without honour, [in his hometown] Mark 6:4 or Matthew 13:57

guess-my-color Site Process of elimination makes me guess Blue but not much to go on here.
SPECIAL ABILITY: Protect something from capture and discard abilities on opponent's cards. Something else.
These are my guesses based on the clues.  I repeat they are only guesses.  No spoilers here.

nice article.

I must say I am not looking forward to this site.

Thanks for biblegateway for helping me figure the verses out!

As for the other sites.

The first one has to be gold.
Guess my title (Tyre or Sidon)
guess-my-color Site (Gold)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Protect evil Characters from conversion.  Protect sites from discard?
SCRIPTURE: Matthew 11:21 ...tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

Guess my title (Synagogue, Foreign Country)
(Green) Site
SPECIAL ABILITY: Protect (evil Characters) from shuffle by an opponent. Protect (deck )from search abilities.
SCRIPTURE: (Matthew 13:57 or Mark 6:4 Jesus Said), A prophet is not without honour, (but in his own country)

For the sake of guessing I am going to say teal for the last site.
Well thats what I came up with anyway.  Wonder if I got any of it right?

I really hope you guys are wrong on the green site's SA, I hope it says in territory (although that'd be a little redundant with the color guard). Then, it'd stop ANB but green would still be viable in t2.

Cool, I guess but you have to deck it and it really conditional... (not every deck play TGT ) I doubt it will see a lot of play in type 1 decks because of the lack of space. At least it is a counter. Would have been better to ban TGT though. Thanks for the article Rob.

BTW does anyone like TGT?

You like to play with it or you don't think it is broken in type two? I think it is safe to say it is farely broken in type 2  for the mere fact that you can have multiples of territory destruction cards. But your right it isn't as powerful.

At least it is a counter. Would have been better to ban TGT though.

Fair enough, but if you played other CCG's I am willing to bet your oppinion would be different.  :) I know when I started playing other games I realized how Broken some of the things in Redemption are.

Hey,

BTW does anyone like TGT?

I like discarding TGT from my hand to things like Generous Widow and the hand discard lost soul. :)

Just like when provisions/CTB became dominant I like the fact that it exists because it presents a new method players can use to pursue victory.  Just like when provisions/CTB became dominant its going to take some time and new cards to balance out this new method to bring it into line with the other methods that exist.  But the more possible methods there are to win with the more interesting the game is, so in the long run The Garden Tomb is good for the game and I like that it exists.

At our last couple tournaments, Zebulun was responsible for far more rescues than TGT was.  Over the last 2 years, Three Nails has allowed for more rescues at our tournaments than TGT has.  Pre-block ignore is frustrating.  This card is only one of the tools players will have to combat it once The Disciples releases.

At our last couple tournaments, Zebulun was responsible for far more rescues than TGT was.  Over the last 2 years, Three Nails has allowed for more rescues at our tournaments than TGT has.  Pre-block ignore is frustrating.  This card is only one of the tools players will have to combat it once The Disciples releases.
really? that's strange. nobody in MN plays with Three Nails.
That's 'cause nobody in MN likes orange.  :)

Two of my new players starting using Blue Genesis offense, so when their father decided to start playing, I gave him a Babylonian defense with Possessing Demon..... and there was much rejoicing from the older crowd.....
My wife is a hottie.

Possessing Demon rocks, I always wonder why I've only seen one player use it outside of booster. Atleast half the T2 decks I see use Jacob and Rueben's Torn Clothes ;D (and the other half use ANB)

it's pretty much a staple. outside of Zebby and Abe's Serv, he's a tough cookie to crack.

Possessing Demon is Kansas City tech from Wild Bill's Annual T2 Tournament in '09.  Mad props to the boys from KC and that old guy who drove them! :)
