Errata - Reworded special abilities

Official Errata List -- Updated 6/22/2018

A Child is Born - Discard all Demons in Play. Cannot be Negated.

Angel with the Secret Name (Warriors) - Special Ability: None. Identifier: Hero's abilities (*/*) are equal to the number of Silver Brigade heroes in play.

Angry Mob (Apostles) - Select a player at random. Discard a random Hero in that player's territory or set aside area.

Answered Prayer (Warriors, Kings) - No stats (*/*) in icon box. Special Ability: Increase a Hero's abilities (*/*) by a total of 7.

Archers of Kedar - May band to any warrior class Evil Character. May discard any Hero in a territory but then discard Archers of Kedar at end of battle.

Barsabbas - should not have the "missionary" identifier.

Besieging the City - Restrict opponent from making a rescue attempt or drawing cards (except by their opponents' special abilities) during their next turn.

Bravery of Priscilla (Women) - Interrupt the battle. Protect all Heroes not in the Field of Battle from harm this turn.

Captain of the Host (Warriors) - Negate all special abilities (except band abilities) on Enhancements and other characters.

Captain of the Host (Kings) - Negate all special abilities (except band and weapon class Enhancement abilities) on Enhancements and other characters.

Children of Light - Protect good Enhancements on this Hero from opponents. Cannot be negated by a good card.

Counsel of Abigail (Women) - You may interrupt the last Enhancement played this battle and either prevent it or redirect it.

Displeased Philistines - Restrict each opponent from searching their draw pile or drawing cards (except by their opponents' special abilities) during their next turn.

Every Man's Sword (Kings) - If a player has no Lost Souls in territory, restrict all players from attacking that player.

Falling Away (Women) - Remove a Redeemed Soul from any Land of Redemption and put it in your Land of Bondage.

God's Provision - No stats (*/*) in icon box. Special Ability: Hero has first strike. Hero gains (*/*) to bring Hero to equal abilities (*/*) with an Evil Character in battle.

Golgotha (Disciples) - At any time during battle, you may place an evil Enhancement from hand on Golgotha: Protect N.T. characters matching a brigade on that Enhancement from ignore abilities. Limit one evil Enhancement placed by this ability on this Site at a time. At the end of each turn, return that Enhancement to its previous location.

Goshen (Warriors, C) - Holds up to 3 Heroes. Protect contents from other cards.

Grapes of Wrath - Discard an evil card in battle to shuffle all characters in battle. If played during a rescue attempt, no Heroes are in battle and the attacking player does not have more Redeemed Souls than all other players, that player may begin a new battle.

Highway - You may withdraw a hero from battle.  If no Heroes remain in battle, return all good Enhancements on that hero to your hand (except this one).

Holy Grail (Warriors) - Once per round, you may convert an Evil Character in a territory to a Hero of any brigade. Limit twice per game.

Holy of Holies (D) - Prevent all interrupt, prevent and negate abilities on characters. Cannot be negated.

Hormah - If your human Evil Character is discarded, you may underdeck this Site to underdeck its contents.

Jethro's Wisdom -  Special ability: None. Identifier: Toughness is equal to the combined toughness of all O.T., male, human Heroes in your territory.

Joab (Cloud of Witnesses) - Both the Hero side and Evil Character side are Warrior-class.

Kindness (Limited/Unlimited)- Special Ability: Hero ignores Crimson brigade. Identifier: All versions of this card are played as Enhancements.

King Abijam - Both the Hero side and Evil Character side are Warrior-class.

King Ahaz (Kings) - Identifier: Judean King. Should not have the Israelite King identifier.

King Saul (Cloud of Witnesses) - Both the Hero side and Evil Character side are Warrior-class.

Kingdoms of the World (Warriors, D) - Special Ability: Holds up to 3 Evil Characters. Protect contents from other cards.

Lacking Sleep - Disease a Hero: If that Hero is in battle, the opposing player has initiative to play the first Enhancement regardless of the strength and toughness of cards in battle. Each upkeep, decrease Hero 1/1 unless the toughness of the Hero is 1.

Lay Down Your Life (Apostles) - If your Hero is discarded by a special ability, you may add another Hero of the same brigade in your territory to battle. All Enhancements of matching brigade remain in battle.

Lost Soul "Hopper" (II Chronicles 28:13) (Kings) - Special Ability: If drawn, give this Lost Soul to an opponent. Identifier: Does not count as a Lost Soul for deck building rules.

Lost Souls (Limited & Unlimited) - Banned in all formats

Mayhem (Thesaurus Ex Preteritus) - Each player must shuffle their hand, or 6 cards at random from hand. Each player who does must draw 6.

A New Beginning (Patriarchs) - If making a rescue attempt, banish this card to shuffle all cards in play, hands and set-aside areas. If no Heroes are in battle, end the battle, each player must draw 8, and end your turn. If you do, you may begin a new turn.

New Tongues (Apostles) - Set aside a male Hero for one turn. On return, that Hero gains the ability “While in battle or following a mutual destruction this Hero was involved in, if a Lost Soul would be rescued by a Hero, the Jeremiah 7:18 (“Female Only”) Lost Soul may be rescued instead, regardless of its protect ability.”

Plague of Blood (Patriarchs) - Discard all Kingdoms of the World Fortresses. If any Evil Characters are discarded by this ability, release them instead.

Provisions (Patriarchs) - Set aside a Hero for 2 turns. On return, you may draw 2, and Hero gains the ability "If making a rescue attempt, you may choose an Evil Character to block. Limit once."

Ram's Horn (Priests) - Reference is Joshua 6:5, not Exodus 6:5.

Raider's Camp (Kings) - If your evil human captures a Hero, hold it here. While occupied, if opponent's Hero rescues a Lost Soul, release each captured Hero from here to its owner's territory instead. If opponent wins a battle challenge, release each captured Hero from here to its owner's territory.

The Roman Jailer - Both the Hero and Evil Character are Warrior-class.

Saint of Virtue (Kings) - Special Ability - If Saint of Virtue plays an Ephesians 6 Enhancement, you may place it on Saint of Virtue: If Saint of Virtue enters battle, activate the Enhancement's special ability, strength and toughness. Limit one of those Enhancements on Saint of Virtue. Identifier - Choose to be male or female when put in play.

Saul/Paul (As Saul) (Apostles) - Special Ability: None. Identifier: Enters play as Saul. If Saul is converted, he becomes Paul.

Self (Promo) - Special Ability: None. Identifier: Generic. Select a Hero when played. */* = selected Hero's strength and toughness. Copy the reference and all applicable identifiers of selected Hero.

Sin in the Camp (Priests) - Identifier: Limit one per territory.

Son of God (all versions) & Son of Man (E) - These are considered the same card for deck building and game play purposes.

Sound the Trumpet (Kings) - Discard a single-brigade Site or a Kingdoms of the World Fortress. If any Evil Characters are discarded by this ability, release them instead.

Stillness (Unlimited, Promo) - "You may withdraw a hero from battle.  If no Heroes remain in battle, return all good enhancements on that hero to your hand (except this one)."

Stolen Blessing - Restrict selected opponent from drawing (except by their opponents' special abilities) during their next draw phase.

Submissiveness of Mary (Limited) - Hero ignores pale green brigade.

The First Seal (Warriors) - Hero is immune to human Evil Characters. Cannot be interrupted.

The Rabshakeh Attacks (Kings) - Discard all but one Hero in battle. Cannot be negated if used by an Assyrian.

The Silver Trumpets (Priests) - Identifiers: Priestly Artifact. It is not a Temple Artifact or Tabernacle Artifact.

The Testimony (Kings) - No stats (*/*) in icon box. Special Ability: Increase a Hero's abilities (*/*) by a total of 7.

Threatened Lives (Angel Wars) - Reference: Esther 3:13

Trust (Patriarchs) - "You may withdraw a hero from battle.  If no Heroes remain in battle, return all good enhancements on that hero to your hand (except this one)."

Unholy Writ (Apostles) - At any time, you may discard this card to capture a human Hero in battle.

Vengeance of Eternal Fire (Apostles) - Discard Kingdoms of the World and 2 Sites in a territory. Discard all Evil Characters placed on Sites.

Weapon of Light (Angel Wars) - Special ability: None. Identifier: Toughness is equal to the number of evil characters one opponent has in play.

The Redemption Elders have decided upon a policy to use both retroactively and going forward while Cactus Game Design uses the print on demand system where a first print run is released and then corrections are made for future print runs.

***ALL 1ST PRINT CARD WILL BE ERRATA'D TO MATCH THEIR SECOND PRINT COUNTERPARTS.***

For Early Church this includes the following cards (including new errata to cards previously unchanged):

#1 The Holy Spirit - Place in your territory. when your N.T. Hero enters battle, you may search your deck or discard pile for a Fruit of the Spirit Enhancement.
#16 Nicanor - While you control another deacon (or Widows' Tables), if an opponent draws because of his special ability (except Nicanor), instead each player draws 1. Cannot be interrupted.
#18 Parmenas - You may discard a clay Enhancement from hand (or place it on Widows' Tables) to negate an evil card and return it to owner's hand.
#40 Coming of the Spirit - Search deck or discard pile for The Holy Spirit. Place it on your disciple: It gains clay brigade. Cannot be negated.
#48 Seek and Destroy - is mono black, not black/brown.
#60 Patience - Place on your clay or green Hero: At the end of your turn, if you did not use a draw or search ability, search a deck for a Lost Soul or Hero and put it in play.
#64 Partners with Demons - If used by a human, band to a demon. If used by a demon, discard a card in your territory to negate and discard a card in opponent's territory (except Lost Soul cards).
#72 Evil Strength - Second release version do not have "cannot be interrupted"

For Persecuted Church this includes the following cards:

#4 Herod's Praetorium - identifier correctly reads "Holds any # of captured humans"
#20 Endurance of Job - special ability correctly reads "Opponent must underdeck an evil card from hand or territory. If used by Job, opponent must underdeck X evil cards from hand and/or territory instead.
#31 Onesimus - If your Colossae Hero is captured, release it after 2 turns. If your Philemon is in the Field of Battle, protect Colossae Heroes in your territory and Lost Souls from opponents.
#41 Syntyche - Phillipi was corrected to Philippi.
#61 Uproar in Jerusalem - instead from removed from the end of the special ability.

For Cloud of Witnesses this includes the following cards:

#5 Pitch and Gopher Wood - ...protect your Noah's Ark...
#56 Faith of Gideon - reference correction
#63 Faith of  Enoch - reference correction
#74 Faith Among Corruption - reference correction

Elders of Jerusalem - errata removed. Play card as written. ("Banding" = "band abilities").

Brass Serpent (Promo) - errata removed. Play card as written.
