Hey,

I didn't include them, I personally consider Regional wins to be more of an acomplishment than state, as state tourneys can have lower turnouts (Yeah Tim, I'm looking at you and your 3 person Nebraska st)

That was uncalled for!  I can't help it if there are only two players that aren't afraid to compete against me on my home turf. :P I even tried to entice people by offering free tattoos!  You're welcome to come and dominate at the 4 person Nebraska state tournament this year if you'd like (assuming we host one, which we probably won't).

Tschow,

Hey,

Which is why it's the single hardest competition in the country. The skill per player is exponentially higher than any other tournament.

I've been to a few tournaments with harder competition.  Iowa State comes to mind.  Sealed Deck - 2 Player had 4 players: Kevin Shride, Gabe Isbell, Gil Kimmons, and Tim Maly. (That's 2.75 National titles per participant for those doing the math).  The MN Type 2 local always has some very impressive competition.  And while Nationals may have more "not very good" players, the list of really good players at nationals is still longer than the number of participants in ROOT.

That being said, ROOT is probably the stiffest competition you'll find at a Type 1 tournament not held during the summer.

I love those encouraging remarks you get in games both online and in person sometimes...like this I got from Sir Nobody once...

"Your deck is extremely frustrating" ......."Did you know that?"

Those perk my day right up!
Aren't those always fun?
Not quite a ghost...but not quite not.

This is what makes Nats the toughest tournament of the year.  There are just soooo many awesome players that it is extremely difficult to finish at the top (or even to place).

That being said, ROOT is probably the stiffest competition you'll find at a Type 1 tournament not held during the summer.
I agree that ROOT is probably the premier T1 competition during the regular year, just as Wild Bill's tourney is the premier T2 competition during the year.

Hey,

No idea I was this loathed!!

It's nothing personal, I just feel it's my obligation to loathe everyone equally.

This seems to be the perfect place to show how bad I am at Redemption!  Just so no one's surprised at Nationals.
