GoC Release details

Gospel of Christ is being sent to the printer this week.  Based on the printer's schedule to ship cards to us, new packs will be available mid-January.
The set will be released in two Phases.

Phase 1 will consist of:
90 common cards
36 rare cards
3 UR and 3 UR+ cards
18 legacy rare cards

Phase 1 card packs will be regular packs containing:
5 cards from I & J Starter and RoA set #26
5 cards from GoC (4 common/LR and 1 rare or UR or UR+)
Each Display will include 1 UR or UR+ card.

The target release date for Phase 2 is the Redemption National Tournament
Phase 2 will consist of:
90 common cards
36 rare cards
3 UR and 3 UR+ cards

When both Phases are available we will also offer GoC Super Packs similar to LoC Super Packs
Full set displays (Regular or Super) will contain 2 UR or UR+ cards.

Finally, due to supply chain issues, we will need to use TeP packaging to pack out the new cards.  Packs will be labeled on the front GoC Phase 1.  Hoping things improve before summer and we will have new packaging for the release of the full set.

Rob,

Thank you for releasing these details. Really excited for this set!

When Phase 2 is released will there be regular display boxes that contain just Phase 2 cards as there are going to be in January that contain just Phase 1 cards?

The reason I am asking is for those of us that buy boxes of Phase 1 cards in January and build a complete set of Phase 1 from those, obtaining a bunch of Phase 1 duplicates when we are trying to get Phase 2 cards is not ideal. However, I do understand if when both phases are released there would end up only being boxes that contain both phases together.

If the latter is the case on my end, personally I may wait until both phases are released to invest money into GoC to try to build a complete set. This way I would not end up spending a significant amount of money on duplicates.

Wonderful!!!

This means I am going to invest in Phase 1 right away mid-January and try to build a complete set of Phase 1 of GoC and then when Phase 2 is released I will buy display boxes that contain only Phase 2 cards and attempt to build a complete set of Phase 2. This is wonderful news and a very logical way to release both sets since someone who builds a complete set of Phase 1 from the Phase 1 release will not have to pay for a bunch of duplicates of Phase 1 to assemble a Phase 2 set when it is released.

This will be great for all of the members of my play group as well who will be trying to get unique GoC cards on a limited budget. That way when Phase 2 comes out they will not end up getting a bunch of cards they already have from Phase 1.

Thanks Rob!

Thank you, Rob.

Will GoC Phase 1 packs be available as tournament prizes starting in mid to late January?  I will likely be hosting a district tournament at a locale near and dear to the heart of someone in this thread.   ;)

GoC Phase 1 release update:
I have ordered 3 print runs so far.  Printings 1 and 2 are sold out.  The first print run should be available to ship the week of Jan 24th.  Resellers that submitted their pre-order by the deadline can expect to receive approximately 50% of their order.

The second print run is running about 6 weeks behind the above.  The balance of pre-orders that were submitted on time will be shipped from the 2nd printing.  We will also fill as many orders as we can that were submitted after the deadline.  Note:  This may not include resellers that keep adding to their initial preorder (you know who you are).  ;)

The 3rd print run should be available mid to late April.  Orders that have come in since December 15th will have to wait for the 3rd printing to arrive.

How resellers will allocate their stock is up to them.

We are doing our best.

These are due here early February.
